Maggott you mean?
Appeared in between 20 and 40 issues around the late nineties?

African bloke....kept referring to people as "maat" which I assume was his pronunciation of "mate."

Owed Magneto and joined the X-Men cos of Joseph, the Magneto clone?

He turned up about the same time I started reading X-Men..

I'd say that those were good times, but they weren't.

Gotta go with my childhood favorite, Batman.

He doesn't have special powers yet he kicks as much ass (if not more) than everyone else. His 'powers' are his arsenal, his money, and his skills. Plus I like that he worked to obtain his abilities. He wasn't born with laser vision or accidentally mutated by science. He trained hard to get as badass as he is.

That's why I like Fett too. No force-powers, just hard earned skill.

They'd probably get along well......or kill each other.

Either way it'd be freaking awesome.

-Hey do you hear that? Is that screaming?
-Nope, that ner vod is simply the sound of natural selection at its finest.

I'm with you all the way on that one. I also like Gambit. He's awsome. Who else can kill you with a playing card and wear a cool trench coat while doing so?

He may be able to kill you in a trench coat, but not with a playing card. He'd probably only give you a very bad scratch. Bullseye cant be compared to Gambit. He's a Punisher wannabe.

I've always been a Batman kind of girl.  I used to watch the television show and I liked some of the movies.  The two by Tim Burton were my preference to the other two.  Batman Begins was all right.  I also like the comics, though I don't own any...  I flip through them at the stores.  Oh, and I remember the cartoon...  That was fun.

I always liked SPAWN. He was on his own mission, but he helped people.

Hard choice but it would have to be (Ze Incredible) Nightcrawler for me:

1) that teleporting ability is Sooo cooool
2) he's awesome with swords
3) he has brilliant sense of humor

I like nightcrawler aswell. I prefer the religious version to the "funny" version, though.

Like in X2? He's cool especially the scene with mystique.

Nightcrawler "they say you can imitate any one, even de voice"

Mystique (using Nightcrawlers voice) "even de voice"

Lol cracks me up everytime :D

The true ultimate superhero is Mr. T.

August 1, 2007 8:54 pm (Edited August 1, 2007 09:34 pm) #

Does Dinobot from Beast Wars count as a superhero? I know he's a warrior and an incredible fighter and was rather heroic, but does he fall into the "super"hero category? If  not then my list for fave superhero (the list has changed over the last ten or so years) is
-Batman/Nightwing(tie)
-Wolverine
-Black Panther
-Lobo(occasional hero)
-Silver Surfer
-Storm/Gambit/Sunfire/Cylcops/Iceman(five way tie)
-Hawkeye
-The Young Avengers/ The Runaways(tie)
-Patriot(A Young Avenger but he needed his own spot)
-Captain America( Damn you Quesada for allowing that to go down!)
-Punisher

Not in any order. Just heroes who have been my favorite at one point in time. There were others but these were the first that came to mind.

If I was totally sane, I wouldn't be as good at my job.

Mr. T has no powers (unless you count the power to pity fools :P)

I wouldn't say Dinobot counted.  From what I remember he kind of had shifting allegiances.  But like I've said before it's been awhile.  I can't remember if he turns out good in the end.

Reading this raises another point, what do you think Marvel is going to do with Cap?  Will they give in and resurrect him like they have with almost every other character.  For instance, Spidey has died what 2 or 3 times?
Green Goblin has died but he came back due to a slow healing factor.  Or do you think  they will keep him 6 feet under and have another Captain America come.  OR HAS THE CAPTAIN AMERICA LEGACY ENDED AS WE KNOW IT!

Like I told your captain, the orphange attacked me. It was self-defense. -Richard the Warlock http://archive.lfgcomic.com/lfg0002.gif

Dinobot started off as a Predacon. Then switched over to the Maximals. Then when it looed like Megatron was gonna win he switched again because he wanted a piece of glory. When he died though it was after he switched over to the Maximals(yet again). He died after taking out every Predacon by himself, including Megatron, (and most of them he took out without any of his weapons) and using up his last bit of energy to destroy the Golden Discs and save the species that would become humanity.

And yeah. They probably will bring Cap back. It's gonna detract from the gravity of his death.  But most superheroes seem to have the infinite lives cheat enabled. Hawkeye died and came back recently as Ronin, though it's hinted he might be a Skrull now. Collossus died after sacrificing himself to save the rest of mutantkind from the Legacy Virus and then came back. And if memory serves correctly the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Namor, Scarlet Witch, Vision,Falcon, Doctor Doom, Bruce Banner(not the Hulk), and Thor all got killed by Onslaught in the early '90s and were resurrected. There are other examples (Hal Jordan comes to mind) I'm sure but these stick out the most.

If I was totally sane, I wouldn't be as good at my job.
