Anyone know if George is going to put the holiday special out on DVD? Regardless if it was crappy. I liked it a tad, but of course the Boba Fett cartoon a cool. Also there was the Droids cartoon series. I have the first one(like everyone else). Does any one know if the rest of the series is going to be out or how to get the rest of the series by ordering them?

Sorted by oldest to newestthe holidy special will never ever be released. As long as Lucas lives. I really dont care if its released I didnt like it except for the Boba part, maybe they'll include that in some special edition dvd set, we can only hope
well, they did make a Boba action figure of his debut in the HS, so I don't see why they don't stick it on DVD if they bothered to make an action figure.
uhh..... its a figure lucas isnt embaressed over the figures(pretty sure)....the special is a show have you seen it? I dont blame him for not allowing it to be released

the action figure is a novelty.
the holiday special is a debacle.
There are always the black market version, i own it and it is even crappier.

i'm proud to say that i've never seen it or "Droids" or "Ewoks"!
Coming to theaters whenever George Lucas dies.
Sadriel_Fett just posted this (twice). Somehow both got deleted. Here's what he said:
The Droids episode wasn't all that bad. Although, it's not on the Droids DVD they came out with a couple years ago. I ended up having to get a bootleg VHS tape off of eBay with all the episodes on it in order to finally see the Droids episode. I also had forgotten that IG-88 made a cameo in the series, too. Pretty neat.

Off-topic, since this thread is about the Holiday Special and not the Droids cartoon, but the Droids cartoon is indeed on the second DVD they released: http://bobafett.com/news/bounty/fetts-droids-episode-on-dvd/

Right on. I'll have to get that one. The bootleg copy's quality is pretty much what you'd expect from a bootleg VHS. The Fett story didn't come on the first VHS I bought at Wal-Mart a few years ago. It and the Ewoks tape only had the first story arcs on them.
Regarding the holiday special, I found it interesting that even though Lucas says he hates it, that it is still considered canon and the characters included in the Expanded Universe literature. Chewbacca's family are interviewed by C-3PO in the Chewbacca mini-series, by Dark Horse comics. Chewbacca's son actually takes up his father's life debt in the Star Wars novels after Han's death, until Han basically relieves him of it. At least in the comics and novels, they didn't make them tacky like they did in the Holiday Special.
Don't know why it's posting twice. It was doing that last week, too. When I tried to delete one, it would delete both of them. This last time, though, I had posted from work, not at home. So, at least I know it's nothing wrong with my laptop. Hopefully, it'll fix itself again.
**side note--I just logged off and then logged back on--all my posts that were showing up doubled were all suddenly "fixed" into single posts again. Don't know why it did that. Something corrupted on the account or in the code, maybe? At least I know what to do if it does it again.**
"I'm just a simple Fan, trying to make my way in the universe."
is the holiday special worth seeing?
Coming to theaters whenever George Lucas dies.
You got to see it at least once. Just for the full effect.
"I'm just a simple Fan, trying to make my way in the universe."
are you sure?
and what "full effect"?
Coming to theaters whenever George Lucas dies.
That full 70's effect. It's usually around the first musical "interlude" when you're asking yourself what were they smoking when they came up with this.
"I'm just a simple Fan, trying to make my way in the universe."
ah, i see.
i'm not gonna see it.
Coming to theaters whenever George Lucas dies.
no u must see it. search on youtube if u must, but i know a kid whose favorites are only star wars videos, it's got TPM-ROTJ, some of Droids, HS, and i dont remember if it had ewoks or not. here ya go.
Dear god...I mean i knew it was bad but... dear god. I was only able to watch the opening, the first one. I almost burned every Star Wars item i have after i saw the little dance thing on the electronic chessboard thing.

Holy crap, so bad it causes spaz fits in marines. All evidence of this shoudl be destroyed. Boba can wait until later to be introduced.

He does and it was lame how R2 managed to intercept his call to Darth Vader.
