X-box live + xbox 360 = One of the greatest achievements in modern technology. Those who are non believers probably don't understand the power it has. You can rent movies, download and play demos and trailers, voice & video chat, keep track of friends, listen to music or watch videos from your pc, and with media center hooked up it is pretty much a tivo, you can also play games with other people across the globe... almost forgot that 1.

Microsoft is not the greatest company ever... or anywhere close to it, but it gets the job done. It's not like Sony is any better anyway. I still have my grudge against SOE (sony Online Entertainment) for destroying Star Wars Galaxies.

I like alot of things about Microsoft, and it's a BIG company. Heck, something like 80% of Personal Computers and latops run on Windows. (don't quote me on that) The only thing I don't like is they charge for everything. as I said up there. But I guess the added security compensates for that.

Xbox Live is awesome and by far the best online service for any console. I only got online about 2 months ago and i'm realy enjoying it :)

XBox lin\ve may be awesome, but until Halo 3 comesout or Galaxies gets released for the 360 (We need an MMO)  It's not the best thing ever.  That title falls to Haribo Brand Gummy Bears.

I dont have X-box live yet, but I plan to have it by the end of this year

I only wish I was having an easier time get the hard system up to get the live running for my box. The set up at my house is stupid, and I cant change or fix that, so I have a friend working on figuring out how. Let's just say he's not that motovated and so I don't have it yet. When I get my 360 though ( which will be in time for the Force Unleasehed) it will. Then I know I'll end up hosting many Halo parties.

you should see steam for the pc.
I don't have a x-box but I do do a bit of online playing for the pc.

I have steam (for Half-life) and it is nowhere as cool.

Just found out that 3 days of Xbox Live will be free for everyone in lieu of Halo 3 release.  September 25-27, mark your calendars boys and girls.  See you all at the battlefield.  By the way my gamertag is Sergeant Soren.

I love xbox live. Im not a super gamer of anything but I think the whole idea of it is awesome. Im from NY and I live in Indianapolis, so I think its awesome I can sign on and play with all my friends from home and its honestly like they are right there in the next room.

I do wish they would fix some of the problems they have with their servers but I guess thats a dead issue. I play alot of COD4 and I hate getting kicked out of lobbys or the "connection interupted".

OK guys, my live account is finally set up. Gamer tag Valthonin. PLaying CoD right now...

I'm having a hard time setting up my Live gamertag/ account. It keeps popping up a message a the end after inputting all that information that it asks for, that theres an error and a code thing that on the support website says is connected to the windows live thing. I have tried two different hotmail email accounts that I've been using, so I know they are certainly active. I tried literally 8 or more times yesterday and I don't know what to do. Any Ideas? It would kriffing angering if I just spent all that money for the gear to set it up and it refused to work.

I'd just phone in to Xbox and try to have them take you through it.  Never happened to me so can't really help.

Ok i figured it out! Hurrah! I got it working last night finally. It really was the live card i was trying to redeem. I got a new one and now it works fantastically. My CoD4 should be arriving any minuet now and I already have Halo3. I'm not that good yet but I know that takes some time. I don't mind getting pwnd because I know that i'm not great yet. I'm officially: Si Titran  :D

Thats a cool article Cujo... and thanks for the target in relation to my red rings of death on MY 360. :( But at least I am still around play while i play the worse game ever thought of... the waiting game. ( Doesn't mircosoft know that years of playing video games has dulled that sensibilty to where I need constant stimulation instantly!)
