:Raj'el Vhett sits alone in a back corner of a cantina on tarissometime between the end of the Jedi Civil war and the beginning of the Galactic Civil war.  His mandalorian Armor, though older than the versions worn by his more famous successors, Jango and Boba Fett, shines a dull metalic black, trimed in orange and red.  His distinctive Mandalorian helmet sits on the table in front of him, a DC-17m pistol rests in it's holster and his E-5 blaster rilfe lies on the table in front of him, never out of reach.  His scars from the Mandalorian Wars are hidden from sight, the right side of his face in shadow.:

OOC:  Feel free to join, for really any purpose.  No weapons created after the rise of the empire, all others are fine.  Mando'ade welcome.

((I hope this is good enough ))

Name: Solus
Gender: Female
Rank: CMO
Armor Color: Blue with black trim.
Weapon: Blaster Pistols (Similar to Jango's)
2nd Weapon: Vibrosword
Personality: Outwardly, she's irratable and cranky, but inwardly she very caring and protective especially when it comes to her patients.

Solus walked into the cantina, off duty for the day. She walked over to the bar and sat down on a stool, observing the other patrons. The bartender, seeming to know what she wanted, sat a Corrilian Ale in front of her. Pulling off her helmet and setting it on the stool next to her, she nodded a thanks and accepted the drink. As she looked around the cantina she noticed a fellow Mandalorian sitting in the corner. Smiling to herself, she raised the drink to her lips, feeling better that there was at least another Mandalorian in this place.

OOC:  It's great.  I'm kinda surprised anyone replied to a n00bs first RP topic at all.  Follow the link below for a decent list of star wars weapons by the way.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Star_Wars_weapons#Personal_ranged_weapons

IC:  Vhett sees the mandalorian woman enter the bar.  There were so few of them since the wars, he wondered if she was a deserter, or maybe picked up the armor off of one of his dead comrades.  He approached, creful of where his weapons were pointed, his dented and scarred heltmet under his left arm, his rifle in his right.:

Su cuy'gar, verd.

((I gave her weak weapons because she's a Medic, and they usually don't carry very powerful arms. Thanks for the list though.))

Although happy that the Madalorian noticed her, she still had a reputation to uphold. She turned to him, amber eyes narrowing as she set her drink down.

"Me'copaani?" She asked in a not too friendly tone.

((Me'copaani-What do you want?))

OOC:  A Mandalorian Medic?  A novel idea.  I didn't mean to imply that her weapons were weak, though I don't know what type of blaster pistols jango used.  Did you make that up, or is there a better mand'oa dictionary I don't know about.

:Raj'el switched to basic, figuring a couple of madalorians speaking mand'oa in a cantina a good way to start a fight...maybe later.  His voice is harsh, and his face barely moces as he talks, the scarring stiff and inexpresive.:

It's not often one finds the Mando'ade at random, even more rarely one in armor.  Tell me girl, are you a veteran of the wars?

:The other question was veiled.  Was she one of those spinless pigs who fled their defeat at Malachor VI to lead a life of violence and dishonor?:

OOC:
Su cuy'gar, verd means literally "You are still alive, warrior"

And here's Jango's Guns: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Westar-34_twin_Dallorian_blaster ))

Solus glared at him. "Yeah, I was a Field Medic back then. I graduated to CMO since then. That doesn't mean that I'm beneath fighting. I'm still Madalorian, even though I'm healer." She told him, her voice accented and rough, sounding as though she had been yelling all day.

"Oh, and call me Solus...boy." She added with a sneer.

((Oh and just so you know, CMO stands for Chief Medical Officer))

(I'm a Marine.  Thanks though.)

:Raj'el recognized the response to his ill-spoken inquiry, and her speech was distinctly mandalorian.  Why else would she talk to a strange, armed and armored man in cantina like he was stupid?  He turned the scarred side of his face, the red droid eye glowing in its socket, the exposed cheekbone beneath charred, the burned surface carved with the mando'a phrase: adenn kahd:

"And which Millitary to you represent, Sol'ika?  The Mando'ade were disbanded after Malachor.  I am a testament to that.:

She noticed the damage to his face and the phrase engrained in his bone. The medic in her wanted to fix it,  but she knew it was unfixable.

She blinked once, pushing her thoughts back. "You tell me first, which did you represent?" She asked, not wanting to say anything until he did.

((Quick question: When does this take place? During Boba's reign as Mandalore or before?))

((This would be before.  I never set a specific time, only before the Galactic Civil war.  I'm thinking a post Jedi Civil war timeframe.  The Old republic, maybe 5 or so years ofter the KOTOR II storyline.  Our weapons probably shouldn't exist yet.)
:Satisfied with her response to his disfigurement, he turned back to her, tempted to replace his helmet.:

"I serve in no man's army at the moment.  The republic defeated us honorably, they are the only ones other than Mandalore I will serve ever again.  I fought on the losing side at Malachor, and a more glorious defeat I have never known."

"Same here, my clan disbanded right after Malachore. Haven't seen them since." She looked over at him. "Yeah, and that defeat cost us many lives. I should know, I lost many good soilders, but at least I gave those lost causes an honorable death. They died by my hand, and not some Jetiitse."

:The thought of his fellows dying at the hands of the likes of Revan would always make him sick, as would the memory of his own scars, the droid components in his face and arm that were a permanent memorial to Revan's prowess.  He'd killed more than his share of Jedi, both during and after the war, though none of them was Revan's equal.:

"You would rather your warriors die at the hands of their leader than find glory in the fire?  I lost all of mine, to the last man at Malchor, to the hands of Revan himself.  All of them died honorably in combat, facing an opponent most can never dream of.  Why deny your own that?"

:His voice became less harsh for a moment, a difficult thing to do with his years of war.:

"My eternal shame is that I faced him, lost, and failed to die.  No other is worthy of killing me, can send me on with as much honor."

"Now, those who died by Revan's hands, they died with honor. The ones who were shot down by some lowly Jetti, they deserved a better death. I'd rather them die by a Mando's hands then some Jetti," She sneered, spitting the word. "Isn't that honorable enough?" Her scarred eyes held hidden pain, but she covered it with hardness, born of seeing too much death and not enough life.

"This just may be the Medic in me talking, but I find it honorable enough."

"Lowly Jetii?  From my experience, the jetii are warriors to be respected, more so than the rank-and-file scum the republic used during the wars.  Death by lightsaber, Jedi or Sith, in combat, to me is an honorable death.  I won't judge, my right to do so is long gone, but it seems they may have been deprived of that."

:Raj'el removed the tube-liek metallic object from under his pack.  H ekept it as a memorial, never to forget that few could weild it, and anyone who did was worth fighting.  He thumbed the ignition, and the lighsaber thrummed to life, scarlet red in the low light of the cantina.:

"This belonged to one of Revan's fallen jedi.  He killed more than enough, brought himself honor.  I watched him cut down three of my men, before my vibroblade killed him.  I've got as many scars from this as from Revan.  I dare you to try to wield it.  I'll give it to you now if you think you can."

:He'd seen more than one cocky young Mando'a cut himself to pieces on the white hot edge of this lightsaber's weightless blade.  Steel was the only thing he held stock by.  If you needed the force to use a lightsaber, who needed one?:

((First time role playing so go easy if I mess up :P ))
Name: Rengaw
Gender: Male
Rank: ((Not sure)) Scout
Armor Color: Green, Black trim
Weapon: Modified E-5 Blaster Rifle with scope
2nd Weapon: DC-17 Blaster pistol
Personality: Not known to be very emotional.  Cannot hold a conversation but is your best friend on the battlefield, follows orders well.  Somewhat sarcastic at times.

Rengaw sat quitely in the corner of the cantina.  He ordered nothing to drink and did not talk to anyone.  He ponders many things, the meaning of his existence, why he lives his life in such routine.  He hears a humming noise coming from the other side of the bar, the sensors in his helmet pick up a great heat source was just created.  He realizes it is a lightsaber.  Always fascinated by the Jedi and Sith, he stands up and walks over to two fellow Mandos.  When he reaches them, he stands and does not remove his helmet.

"Where'd you find that?"  he says in a cold, emotionless tone.

Solus took it, examining the blade. "Ah, A Sith lightsaber. Worthy warriors the Sith." She lit the blade, spinning it in a graceful arc. "Nice build. Light, yet deadly." She killed the blade, handing it back. "You keep it. You earned the honor, not me."

(All weapons predating the Galactic Civil War [clone wars or earlier] are acceptable, as are all armor types and spacecraft.  Feel free to post.  Were in the Taris Upper City Cantina.  The Arena is Open for casual duels, though they won't be stroyline in most cases.)

:Raj-el returned the lightsaber to it's place.  He wielded it rarely, and to see one of the mando'ade weild it so skillfully shocked him.  He could no longer question her prowess if he wanted, though.  He turned to the newcomer, not hostile, but the shame of past remembrance forgotten for the moment.  His droid eye hummed and hissed, looking over the new one, this younger Mandalorian, wondering what he was doing here.  Two Mando'a in one night?  He caught sight of the modded E-5, similar to his own, and forced back a smile.  They were good weapons.:

"If you'd been here a minute ago you'd have heard the sob story.  Why does the blade interest you?"

:Raj'el ponders this a moment.  He was unsure what to think about this newcomer.  Most mandalorians were friendly towards their own.  He held to the belief that Family is more than Bloodlines.  If they wouldn't talk, shame or fear kept them from doing so, and neither was acceptable to him.  HE pushed the conversation.:

"What are you doing here, verd?  Do you at least have a name, or did the wars take it as well as your confidence?"

(I don't expect forgivness for that comment.  Raj'el can be extremely blunt at times.)

:Raj'el coulnd't tell if this sullen mandalorian was dead in his armor or not.  He decided to pick up the conversation with Solus while waiting for the newcomers thought processes to catch up.  He turned back toward her, slowly, deliberately, with all of the habitual predatory grace his trade had taught him.  It was a movement that made civilians in the cantina cringe.:

"The Arena here is open, and I'm always up for a match.  I need to go to my ship to retrieve some things.  I would be honored to fight when I return, and this Dar'manda can watch if he likes."

"I don't think he's a dar'manda...just quiet," Solus shrugged. "Anyway, yeah, I could do for a fight. I've been so busy saving honor, and the occasional life, that I let my combat training get rusty." She looked over to he Newcomer. "Let him join too. Rank:Sgt. (or the equivilant of such)
Armor color:Black under suit, Gray armor, with red shoulder plates and T visor red marks cross the helm (like on sev's) (rest of outfit resemples that of Boba, minus the jetpack)
Weapons: DC-17, and a DC-15 (thats the pistol right?) vibroblade, and costumized wristblades (think predator, but slightly different)
Discription: Rough features, heavily scarred classic drill seargent look.

Kal'ak walked slowly into the arena, he saw two manolorians fighting/sparing (im assuming that you two are sparring) he decided to watch, it had been a while since he had done so, he would hope to do it again soon. he removed his helmet and relaxed, listening to the sounds of combat.

:He shifted his weight to his lead foot, moving his blade behind him, pointed at the floor, imitating the Makashi lightsaber style that had dealt him his worst wounds.  It was a defensive style, and would give her the leeway she needed to attack, but leave little space to strike through.:

This was getting good, it seemed that the man was gaining the upperhand. He was using lightsaber styles. Things like that were discracefull to mandolorians. The jedi were weak, using their powers during comabat, making up for lack of natural speed strength and skill, imitating their ways would not accomplish anything.

:As if raj'el could hear his thoughts, which he of course could not, he said.:

The Jedi and Revan are the only opponents ever to defeat the Mandalorians in battle.  Their use of the force may be dishoborable, but to emulate their forms, without the force, is and effective tactic.  To learn from your martial superiors makes you a better warrior.  To use these forms effectively without the force one must find strength and speed and skill where it's suppposed to cme from; hard training.

:He continued fighting, not understanding exactly what the other mandalorians thought of him, or caring.  He was no force sensitive, not Jedi.  He had killed jedi, and seen his men cut down at the hands of Revan himself.  These forms were dificult to master without the force, and he was no where near master of them.  And he only new the one....:

Kal'ak continued to watch the fight and continued to think of combat tecniques. Using their combat forms could be an advantage, but a swordsman should develop his own forms, or emulate those of honerable warriors, not swordsmen who rely on special abbilities. War should be fought with blades blasters and fists. There was nothing dishonerable about punching a foe with your freehand during combat, nor was there any dishoner in using technology such as lightsabers, they were good weapons. But emulating Jedi, even if only combat styles, would bring no more skill. You could never acurately reproduce Jedi lightsaber styles, as Jedi relied on the force to weild their blades with such speed and skill.
Kal'ak looked at the newest spectator agian, he also, appeared to be watching the fight.

Weilding her sword like a poolstick, she thrust it forward using one hand, aiming to go through the small space provided.

Grinning beneath her helmet she also lashed out with her hand, aiming for an armor seam, which she knew was a weak spot.
