The Empire would win, they could use the Deatstar to destroy Kuat, and all the worlds that the Republic is based on.
Yea the Empire was more advanced so I'm going to go with them.

well the empire would win because eventualy the republic turns into the empire...........but if you meant to ignore the timeline then i agree with everyone else
