As many of you know, Sean Connery has decided not to be in the next Indiana Jones movie. Of course, this sucks. So people have gotten together to start a petition pleading Lucas films and Sir Connery to at the least make a cameo appearance. Please give your support to signing the petition because I love Indiana Jones and knew you guys could help. Heres the link :  http://www.bringbackconnery.com/

Also back to topic, I think Connery should be in it. He was great in Last Crusade.

the best bond ever, second being Pierce Brosnan, third being Daniel Craig. His role was fantastic in Indiana Jones. I think he should be brought back as well, screw Shia LeBouf playing young Indie.

I do not know why but I was never that fussed about Pierce Brosnan.

I agree with you that Sean was the best bond but I think that after that comes Roger Moore (I think he did a really funky job as it is not going to be easy going into a role so soon after Sean) I think that then Pierce and Timothy Dalton are next.

I have not seen the latest JB film yet so I do not know what he is like (I really must get to see that film soon)

Just out of curiosity why will Sean not be in the film?

I never liked Roger Moore, he was way too old to be a James Bond. And Connery decided that retirement was "just too darn fun" and so he didn't want to leave it to be in any movie, however if there was ever a film to do so it would have been an indiana jones one.

waaaaahhh hes not in number 4.... i liked him in league of extrodinary gentle men or whatever it was called.

June 19, 2007 12:39 am #

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen wasn't it? I want to read the graphic novel now...

I've only ever seen The Temple of Doom and Crusaders of the lost Arc.
Which were good.

But I could care less about a Connery being in the new one, I mean, just throw in a plot device that dad died right before the beginning of the movie...something.

And does Lucas Film own the rights to Indiana Jones? I mean, Lucas helped write them, but didn't Speilberg direct them?

I'll abdicate at the drop of a hat

nope, it's all Spielberg. Lucas only helped create it/produced it.

Actually, during ANH's first release, they were on vacation in Hawaii and GL told Spielberg about this idea he had for a story but he didn't want to follow through on it cause he was exhausted from doing SW. So they chatted about it a bit, and both had their own ideas of how Indiana should be. One wanted him to be a rich playboy, one wanted him to be a college professor. So they sort of meshed the two. And, so Spielberg made the movie, and since GL first thought of it he was credited as being the producer I think. All this I read ages ago in the Special Edition SW/Indy Anniversery Insider magazine that came out a few years ago.

Thanks :) I hope they get him for the film though as it would be really funky.

I don't think they could, bcause in order to save his life at the end of Last Crusade Indy had his father drink from the Holy Grail and that made him more or less immortal.

Half Dragon, half human, 100% Fett!

Huh, this is new to me. Why didn't he want to be in it?
Either way, people should give him a break and respect his decision. Maybe he's through with acting... ?

Yes but since Elsa crossed the seal on the floor of the temple while holding the grail (which the knight told them not to do) it invalidates their immortality. The knight said that they couldnt leave with the grail, and that was the price for immortality. So he did save his father but neither Indy nor his dad is immortal.

Sean Connery needs to be in this movie. I'd like it if he was in every movie ever, but that's just me.
