Ah, but that is a topic to discuss elsewhere.

What I like most about Boba Fett is that he survived the Sarlacc, it takes a real beast to do that, or... well a hutt...

You got it Lando! Surviving Sarlaccs is not for the faint of heart.

i tend to think the less you know about fett the better. i gotta go with mystery, and bad ass armor.
im cautiously optimistic about the series, im thinking lucas might further clown fett up.

That does bring up an interesting point:  If we learn too much about Boba Fett, will he lose his appeal?  Many reasons have been listed as to why we like him, and one that comes up a lot is the mystery.

Boba's armour is pretty awesome all scared and stuff. plus, no one really knows his expressoin becuse of the helmet he always wears. It gives him a mysterious and at the same time kinda kool look. I also like his rifle, the EE-3 blaster rifle (much more than jango's pistols anyway)

i love how kick ass he is. period. i mean he has so many aswsome weapons and he doesnt even have to use them. he could anialate (spell) all of us in less than a second

Another thing I like about Boba is trying to figure out what makes him tick.  Just what is he thinking and what is going on in his head?  The whole psychological aspect of it fascinates me.  How events in his life made him the way he is now.

Does he hate himself on the inside?
Does he blame himself for his father's death?
Does he think he's not a "real person" because he's a clone, and therefore undeserving of certain things in life?  Does he deny himself pleasurable things because he is afraid to enjoy anything lest it be taken away?
Does he hate that the galaxy sees him as some kind of blood thirsty monster?
Is he depressed, lonely, and sad?
Is be bitter and resentful of others who "have it good"?
And the whole abandonment of his wife and child can be analyzed to death.  (As I did in the string pertaining to that subject.)

I always did have an interest in psychology, and I think Boba would be a prime subject for study.
The poor man...yeesh.  He's had it rough, and he's way too hard on himself at the same time.

To play a part behind a Mask is a hard for the Actor to show the Part
as Boba Fett showedhe was  a true Warrior, and and  that slight nod he gave to
that other Bounty -Hunter,,in respect,,didn't say much but put his
presenced though very well
Here is some other Actors that did the same thing
Gort,,The Day Earth Stood Still,,never said a word but I still jumped when I saw him
outside the Saucer,,very powerful  effect
The Predator was one Powerful  Warrior,,2nd Predator had more in this show but not the
same presense,,two different Actors
Phantom,,Shame they didn't try harder.
Zorro got his message though
The Hornet,,good Crime Figther but I took more notice of Bruce Lee his off-sider
Batman what else can Bats say on him .

you have eloquently stated many of our questions.
much as i hate to say it, fett is at his best when he is known as a "one note" character.
i for one, do not want to know the kid boba. damn you- AOTC.
i like to imagine fett as a laconic but complex clone. damn you AOTC.
he is problably missing out on the simple things in life...but much like celebrities, he gives up anonymity
for respect and admiration. aside from vader, no one else in the galaxy get all the eyes in the room when he enters.

Hes the only person in the Mythos that Lord Vader responds to as an equal. He also doesnt really hold vandettas, for the most part its strictly about the bounty.

are you all forgeting in the tales of the bounty hunters, boba blows the sarlacc up with a bomb, and escapes??

Green, what are you talking about? Boba did not have a vendetta with the Sarlacc. And Ordo said that for the most part all Boba does is hunt. Even if all he did was hunt, he would still have to fight to survive.

And if you are asking why know one said anything about Boba killing the Sarlacc, many people have. The latest one that I found is by Lando Fett.

yeah, but in my book, tales of the bounty hunters it said in, the tale of dengar at the near end that dengar could smell rotting flesh, the sarlacc had been destroyed, and a figure crawled out of it, naked and scarred, and that person was boba fett......i obviously knew that boba survived!   :)

That is how everyone knew he survived, but that was pretty off-topic. Because I think that you were really trying to be on topic, I'll cut you some slack.

One other thing that I don't think I mentioned before is that I like that Boba can kill without a second thought.

You were talking about how you knew Boba survived. Now, this off-topic conversation ends with this post.

I also like how Boba toys with Bossk.

In the "Bounty Hunters War" trilogy, instead of killing Bossk directly, he sets up fairly elobrate ploys and traps to annoy him.

I said not by Fett's hand, but either way, it is a figure of speech. This conversation is drifting off topic.

LOL yeah, I liked Boba's sense of "humor" with Bossk!  It takes someone with wit to do that!  I wouldn't say Boba is a prankster, but his ideas and plans can be surprising.

I have to confess that I did not think too much about Boba Fett when I watched the films.

I started liking him when I started reading the extended universe books and I read about him in the short story in the tales of the bounty hunters. I thought he was such an interesting character and absolutely wonderful to read about.

I love every thing about him. His ruthless nature, the way he deals with others and the how smart he is (he would have to be to have survived for so long)

I suppose the one thing I love most about him is his presence. He has a presence that I think is just so funky. He commands attention and his actions speak much louder than any words.

Edited to correct typo. Thank you Sharra and Fettfan :)

His armor

June 7, 2007 11:04 am #

Yeah, and the Slave I,I mean look in Bloodline he still uses it,it's still remembered, and it's even better even with the fact that it is considered outdated(right, like it could ever be!)

June 7, 2007 12:35 pm #

Yea I would have to also say that I like his armor and the Slave 1 the most. Two very distinct, very cool, and very kick ass pieces of technology.

I would have to say what I like most about Boba is that he kicks  @$$ and looks cool doing it. P.S. I posted this with my PSPand it was a pain in the  @$$.

I'm just helping Boba Fett and killing wookies for him.

I haven't even SEEN the other Slaves but I can't imagine Boba in anything other than th Slave 1. It's like his trademark.

None of the other Slave ships could match up.

Yes, his attitude is what makes him ;)  The Slave I's I've seen are Boba's and Jango's color schemes.  I do have 4 Slave I ships (well, one is labeled simply as a Firespray class ship) figures.
