Topic: Idea: Fan Art Contest

Ok so i was wondering if anyone wanted to have a Fanart contest with the admins as judges, so waht do you say???

I think this is a great idea. It shows off some great Fett artwork and allows some of the more unknown artists to get there work shown. If this works I'll join in and post my few Fett works.

Doesn't this site do that every once in a while? I seem to remember one or two art contests we had in the past.

That would be cool, as long as the stuff was posted.  I love seeing everyone's art.  Amazes me.  Best I can manage is a stick figure, and even that is barely recognizable. :)

I can only draw concept art...I suck at drawing established characters.  :(

Although the last contest was focused on fan art, where we gave away a Jango Fett "Koto" 13-inch statue from EntertainmentEarth.com, I'll consider another.

But before anyone can judge something like this, you need criteria. Anyone want to pitch a focus or theme? Original compositions only, maybe?

The Theme could be like Clone troopers and or Mando art

Maybe provide certain conditions or situations in which the characters are placed? Funny elements like, for example "winter" and we'd have to set the scene on Hoth or Mygeeto... or Endor with snow on tree tops ;)

Then everyone would just go to Star Wars Kids and copy their tutorial. (As you have did in your helmet art topic.)

I don't think we need a prize though. We will still get people to enter withought one.
