I'm new to this site, (but certainly not new to Boba Fett obsession) so maybe this has been discussed before. But does anybody else think that Lucas has success clouding his judgement on what he puts and does not put in the Star Wars movies? I think it all started with those damn ewoks defeating the 501st legion on Endor, and continued with things like, ugh, Jar jar binks. Does anyone else think this too?

I always thought ewoks,jar-jar binks, and c3po/r2d2 were comic relief and without them starwars might have been a little to serious-but I have to agree with you a little, its hard to believe that the empire was defeated by ewoks and jar jar binks is just plain stupid.
I'm thinking the Ewoks were a personification of the belief that even though you may be small and useless, you can still defeat bigger things if you band together and try hard enough.
Yes, Jar Jar was WAY too stupid. C-3PO and R2-D2 were fine, but Jar-Jar...no thank you.
-Rampage, Beast Wars
Jar-Jar was banished because of his "clumsiness".I think that says everything. And the Ewoks look just like teddy bears.I can't see how they managed to beat the Stormtroopers.Oh wait.I guess because Chewie came with a stolen AT-RT and destroyed everything.
i think starwars thrives despite lucas.
ANH an amazing cinamatic echievment. ESB the best movie of the six.
because lucas let someone else relay his vision. he did not direct it or write the script.
i think by the time RotJ came around lucas was catering to a younger audience...probably because of his kids.
and the prequels despite making obscene amount of money IMO were horrible on just about every level.
the new fett voice by the way is tragic...stop re-editing you clown.
its like picaso or some famous artist going back and continuing to add brush strokes to a masterpiece.

Best analogy ever. Thank you for that. I am going touse this to finally relay what I'm trying to explain to my friend who thinks all re-editing is for the best.
And speaking of the re-editing ruining movies, has anybody seen the southpark episode where they re-edit the SW films so much that all the storm troopers become ewoks? They meet up with Lucas and he is being held hostage. It's great.
Hail to the King Baby!!
Yeah that was classic lol.
I think, therfore i am I destroy, therfore i endure - IG-88 tales of the bounty hunters

That is a very good point.
I actually do like a lot of the re-edits though. The only re-edits that I do not like though is the scene where they changed it from Han Solo shooting Greedo to Solo killing in defence and Boba’s voice change. Just because Boba is a clone does not mean his voice will develop in the same way. You accent develops from where you grow up and whom you spend your time with.
I think generally he gets things mostly right and it is going to be very challenging to get everything right especially with something as big as Star Wars.

I never had a problem with C3-PO or R2 to tell you the truth. But the re-edit with Greedo shooting first is a joke. EVERYONE KNOWS HAN SHOT FIRST. The re-edit just makes Han look stupid. the whole thing about changing Boba's voice though, i dont know about. I'm kinda in split decision about it. Because its true that voices and accents may develop differently, however Boba was extremely fond of his father and grew up living in his image, becoming a bounty hunter just like him and staying true to using Mandalorian armor. I wouldn't doubt it if he grew up trying to sound like his father either.

I do not think the re-edit makes Han look stupid it just makes Greedo look like he is useless at aiming. I mean you would not miss if you were that close.
That is an interesting point about Boba’s voice though. I had not thought of it like that before.

What I meant about Han looking stupid is that it is edited so that he like, moves a couple inches out of the way of Greedo's shot, so he just looks retarded. The little scoot he did didn't really look human. It also makes Greedo look like a bad shot too though. And what i said about Boba's voice, yea I just thought that he really loved his father and wanted to be just like him.

I know. I wish they would edit that scene so that it was back to how it was originally. It works much better with Han’s personality as well.

Welcame Its a blessing to see new fans voies there thoughts.
about that South Park epiosde...
it was the re-re-re-release of ESB. Now that They're putting all 6 into 3-D, soon the re-re-re-release of ESB will come to hand.
Theyre really putting all 6 into 3-D? When does it come out?

Absolutely, with Jar-Jar Binks and not enough Boba Fett. George Lucas certainly did several things that show clouded judgement. I would love to see any of the six movies in 3-D.
