just wondering if anyone thinks star wars is nurdy, because my friend robert hill, said it is and im P***** off about it! 5 words, STAR WARS IS NOT NERDY!!

Well that really depends on how u define "Nerdy."
An intelligent but single-minded person obsessed with a nonsocial hobby or pursuit: Depends on how obsessed u are.
a stupid, irritating, ineffectual, or unattractive person: No
But on the whole it would be considered by most people to be nerdy to be into Star Wars as much as most people on this site are. But really I don't consider that a bad thing. Because whats the difference between a "nerd" knowing useless facts about SW and a "jock" knowing useless facts about every sports star.

i know i likes nerds i mean whats wrong with them? just because they like star wars a lot doesnt mean you have to mock them! :(

Well,nerds sometimes get on peoples bad sides just because they are too interested about something,to the point that they think:"I can't believe how this fella loves Boba Fett from S.W!He gets on my nerves!"Propably they tell it because they can't understand it.

I was thinking about how I could word my post but your post has summed it up perfectly for me.
Though I do not see myself as being nerdy, I just see me as being myself.

while my knowledge of fett and starwars trivia in general makes me nerd-ish.
i feel that fett fans r often more discerning than garden variety starwars fan boys.
(and by no means do i think that being a fan boy is a bad thing)
as stated on another thread...slips my mind which. being a fett fan is almost an omission of
being an outsider. a person that refuses to conform or assimilate.
so nerdy?...yeah abit.

Well Star Wars is nerdy, but not completely. Also, liking it doesn't make you a hardcore nerd. Just means you're a bit nerdy.

Lol nice one lol. Yeah Star Wars is nerdish but as long as you dont spend most of your time doing stuff Star Wars related its ok.

I think that when someone is really into something that it doesnt really make them nerdy. I mean, we are on a Boba Fett forum, but I have friends on Off Road truck forums and Tattoo forums. It's all good fun. If a chick was really into fashion and clothes would that make her nerdy for going to the extreme?? It's really the same thing to me.

Yes, i do think star wars is nerdy, just like i think Warhammer 40k is nerdy, and I do enjoy them both. I am a nerd and I'm proud of it.

I don't really think being "nerdy" is a bad thing. Simply because a person is into something doesn't mean they should be labeled. Although, I've always wondered... What exactly do people call Star Wars fans aside from fans? Because Star Trek fans are typically known as Trekkies... I just wondered if I missed that label or not. *shrugs*
But back to the topic, I don't feel any issue with being "nerdy" because of my interests. My interests are my interests. Not everyone is going to have the same. Plus, these things make me happy, so that's what matters. And if someone is making a big deal about you liking something that they don't or whatever, why should they care so much in the first place?
