That is funky :) LOL when I was at school I never even used a computer. They had some computers (I am not sure what type but I do not think they were PC’s) but I sadly never got to use them.

Every kid at our school gets laptops.  So internet at school is a given.  But if I get caught on BFFC at school, the Web server will block it and then it's no more Boba on laptop.

Last year I was part of a student-based group the school "hired" (unpaid but I can put it on resumes) to fix the computers and our internet systems. We ghosted all of the computers first to reset the problems and then we revamped the blocker so Myspace and any game sites were blocked (I didn't want to, but they made us =/). We also blocked proxy servers which brings me to my point. If your school blocks a site, it is possible to get on a proxy site (they can't block them all) and get to the website through that. I have a list of proxy sites that work in our school so I can pretty much go anywhere I want =P.

The schools also have ways to find out whether you use proxy servers or not.

there's thousands of proxies out there, no school has 'em all blocked. there's one i've tried, it's like inetfreedom.net/index or something (i dont really remember it), but it seems the school hasn't blocked it yet.

I can too...which is surprising with all the blocks.

But proxies leave files on your computers that can be found relatively easy.  If you search the word 'proxy', you'll find the files.  And the thing is there are somethings on your computer that are entitled neccessary for the proper operation of certain programs.

I won't get technical, but yes Sev you're right. Although you could just delete your cookies and temp files to get rid of the proxy files. Nobody in their right mind will check any further than that to check if you were on a proxy site. And even if they did, there is no proof of what programs you went to see on them as the proxy keeps no records.

I almost wish my school blocked this site... that way I wouldn't get distracted from school work! heh.
