I downloaded the most recent fan film wrath of the mandalorian. And when I try and play it, it only plays the sound. I am an idiot. Did I just download the sound file? How do I get the video to play?

What are we going to do about this? It is an outrage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just wanna watch the film... really really badly.... you don't even know dude...
Is it a .avi? If so you might just need to download a codec. Google it up, I forget the site. I'm not sure what else to include in the google search. Divx maybe, or Xvid. At least those are the only things I've heard of. I'm not too knowledgeable on this. I just know sometimes you need a codec. (or codek, I forget how it's spelled)

It clearly says on the site, and on BFFC, that it's AVI + DIVX. If you just hear the sound, you're missing the DIVX plug-in or compatible player. Try VLC.

I left it downloading all last night (because it says it's going to take me about 16 hours on dial-up) but then this morning it screwed up and made me start over. At this point I'm considering giving up (so everybody tell me how it was!)

I just got done downloading it, it was worth going to Divx's website and downloading the codex (for free) Its one of the best fan films ive seen yet of Boba.
*shrugs* I was on the right track with what I was saying, I just wasn't entirely right. lol
So it's good then? Maybe I'll go ahead and download it.

The movie is very good, alittle short maybe but that is fogiveable.
Well, I downloaded the vid x media player or whatever thing I needed to play the video. I wasn't impressed as much as I had hoped. The sound effects I had had previously let my imagination to a better job of making the movie than the actual film did. I'm not saying it wasn't a good film, but let's just say it's no George Lucas production... There was a lot to be desired...
Did like the Boba outfit though, that was impressive.
oh, and when boba jumped over darth vader and tried to strangle him, i couldnt help but cry laughing, that was so freakin lame dude...
Now that it's clear the video requires an AVI + DIVX player, feel free to start a Topic on the fan film Wrath of the Mandalorian in the General forum.
