He doesn't "own" Jango, merely defeats him after a heated conflict. I'm talking about if they ever fight. Besides, one of the true reasons why Boba beats Jango is because Boba came years before Jango. If it had been the other way around this would probably be the JFFC, or the B and J FFC at least.

Should that happen, this would just be the FFC.

I always hate these who's better, Jango or Boba Fett, since I love both Mandalorians. But to put it simply, in the "Attack of the Clones" novel when good old papa Jango is training his cute lil  sociopathic cloned son Boba. He notes mentally to himself that Boba is better at a pistol or somesuch than he was at Boba's age. Which of course is how Jango wants it, he wants his kid to be the best.

Course at ten Jango was working on a farm with his dad when the Deathwatch and the True Mandalorians came into his life. Boba at ten was training with his Mandalorian bounty hunter dad when a noisey Jedi knight, one Obi Wan Kenobi, came into the picture. Who knows what would have happened if Boba got picked up by one of the Mandalorian instrutors after geonosis, maybe he would have turned out exactly like his old man?

As for a combat situation, never would happen. Jango loved his rotten kid way too much, and Boba idolized that old fart like nobody's business. They would rather stand back to back and go down fighting the entire universe than go against each other.

Exactly I hate how a lot of rotten kids place Jango and Boba against each other.

Boba hands down. he"s been around longer, kooler looks, and he"d probably own Jango in a fight

... Jango is the one who taught Boba how to fight in the Mandalorian ways of combat. So Jango has some beef over Boba, every1 should stop assuming Boba would own Jango in one fight. Now because of u ppl, I think Jango would rape Boba.

1. This is an all-age forum.
2. Jango barely tarained Boba at all.
3. As Mandalore, Jango led his troop to destruction. Personally, I would not want Jango training me.
4. We say Boba would beat Jango because we think that Boba would beat Jango. Everyone is entilteled to an opinion.

Also Boba had to learn to survive on his own from an early age. Nothing like survival to make you stronger. Besides Jango subcontracted for his bounties. Boba never has.

I must say draco, you are starting to sway my view of Jango slightly.  He now goes from the totally cool Boba father to someone who wasn't a very good father or Bounty hunter...

*100th post

i say agian (maybe other topic like this or this one) i would think boba would win. if in Slave 1s then boba becuase jango wouldnt know what boba had on his version. if on ground boba would probalby win because jango again wouldnt know how much weaponry boba had and when jango finally realized it is boba he wouldnt be able to kill him.

i'm a fan from way back so its easy to say boba, but each has their drawbacks.
jango probably farmed out his work because he was too busy to do every job. and you saw what happened when that shapeshifter failed him. jango seemed too cavalier for me walking around with his helmet off...and dropping into a fray of go-bots and jedi.
boba, from what we have seen soaked up what his father taught him, and obviously became quite notorious, boba is just "the man", jango the afterthought.
...im aware that im headed off topic...

why isnt "clone wars" canon? im not here to argue it is, but like stated previously lucas had it made to lead up to episdode 3, not like some comic stories that take liberties with the license.

for example: ig88 clowning the emperor in "tales of the bounty hunters".  just curious if you knew something i didn't.

I saw something during that show and it really contradicted what was going on in the Movies.  I can't quite remember what it was though.  And the episode where Mace literally takes out an entire droid army on Dantooine half the time without a lightsaber was really pushing it.

let's see you be a bounty hunter and a father after an extremely harsh life tough guy. lets see you hunt down the jedi leader of a dark cult. let's see you raise a clone while living a job where the consequences are certain death. Ho Ho Ho....

i think i've seen that as well. and mace literally force shovelling an army of droids seems excessive, at least in the movies nobody jumped out of a speeder miles in the air and in a free fall- time a landing on another moving speeder...oh wait.

in short, jedis powers seem to be exponential as the series moves forward. for further examples of this see-
next years "force unleashed" video game. its obvious that jedi powers have come along way since a geratric obi and aging vader faced each other on the deathstar.

...but i kinda agree. if its not on celluloid, its not cannon. id bet lucas hasnt read a fraction of the star-wars literature. he is probably too busy counting money. :P

Merry Christmas???

I agree that Clone Wars pushes it, but it has to to keep the people's interest. Just take it in moderation, same way you SHOULD deal with everything else. Mace taking out hundreds of droids makes no sense when you see how he gets cornered in Attack of the Clones. But it looked amazingly cool. So, why not make the best show you can?

On topic, Jango has his few cool aspects, but Boba is the greatest bounty hunter of all time. In my opinion (as I have expressed before) Boba just takes the cake plain and simple.

Good... Bad... I'm the one with the gun.

How easily you are all swayed. Until the day any of you become a better father or bounty hunter, Jango is still good at both.

Everyone knows Alo Fett is the BESTEST EVER! Just kid'n.

this is so hard cu'z Jango is the origanal and has some life in him (or HAD some life in him).
But I've allways been a boba fan I just wish he had did more in the movie.

Actually, Boba is the original. The trilogy with Chewbacc, Lando, etc. was made first.

Ouch.  Harsh logic, Draco.  While I doubt that he's THAT bad, Jango is kinda foolish for taking so much on his plate at once.

There is no question about Boba being better it's more how bad Jango is.  And I think he's not that bad.  Just not as good.

Jango was stupid enough to fire two wrist missles at two guards (who were right next to each other), who were running away. One missile would have worked, as would two blaster bolts.

You have a very good point there.  He was trying to be thorough, but went into overkill.

He still had a lot of innocent people to kill; it is not wise to ever waste weapons. Also, I'm sure that the rockets are expensive.

But when you're being cloned and being paid a handsome sum for it, you can do these things.  Besides since when do you even need rockets to kill innocent people?
