Topic: Super Smash Brothers Melee

Who here plays Super Smash Brothers Melee? It is one of my absolute favorite games. Who are your favorite characters to play? Favorite stage? What about your favorite item? Also, what new characters do you expect to be in Super Smash Brothers Revolution?

The main character I play is Falco. I am absolutely great with him. I sometimes play Mewtwo for fun, but not for anything competitive, at least not yet. My favorite stage is Final Destination, I like it's simplicity. And, my favorite item is the Umbrella because I love doing ariel attacks with it.

I never played it, but I think it would be cool too. Can't you play as Link or Sheik/Zelda or something?

Yeah, you can play as them. You can also play as Young Link or Ganandorf.

I didn't know you could play as Ganandorf. I'd love to be able to do that, mwahaha.

Yeah, it is kind of strange at first if you have played the Zelda games, because you never get to play him anywhere else...

Yeah, I've played almost all the Zelda games. LTTP, LW, OOT, MM, WW. I tried the Oracle games but gave up. I'm currently waiting for Twilight Princess to come out but it's beginning to seem like it never will.

I played all of them except the 2nd one, that was until after Wind Waker came out and they got all of these new ones... I might get Twilight Princess, but I don't know.

I heard Twilight Princess will be KOTOR-ish, and I think it's looking really cool. I saw a pic OL of Zelda holding a sword even, and you can use your sword while riding Epona. But it's ok, my BF doesn't like any of the newer Zelda games cause he thinks it takes away from the old ones and he doesn't like the sound effect Kid-Link has when he swings his sword.

I like Captain Falcon, and I like the bar stage in debug mode. My favorite non-playalable characters (unless you have an action-replay device) are the Hands. I want to see SA-X, Wario, and other dopleganger charachters. My favorite items are the beam swords, and the motion-sensor bombs.

Yeah, Captain Falcon is a good character. His f-air move rocks if used correctly.

I ALWAYS play as Samus. She just kicks several levels of ass. Thats all there is to it. Though I like using Mewtwo too, cause his mental powers are fun. Though Bowser is also fun too....

Hehe, I've played that a couple of times. My fav is that metroid chick. (forgot her name) But unfortunately, I dont have much time for games =(

The "Metroid chick" is Samus Aran, you know.

I hate using all the other Pokemon: they're really awful. But on the other hand, Ganondorf is loads of fun (though he's hard to control). I just wish they didn't make him a Captain Falcon clone though...

Ah, I see. Sorry about that... It is quite confusing...

Most of the other pokemon are very weak... That is the only reason I wouldn't like them. Pikachu is okay though, just not so good against the stronger characters...

I love Smash Bros.! I always use Kirby, cuz I love the look on my friends' faces when they get slaughtered by a pink marshmallow. My favorite item is the beam sword. I have it so that's the only item. When everybody gets one, it's like SW!!! In the next one, I want Wario, Waluigi, Jack from Harvest moon, And maybe Nook from Animal Crossing! My favorite stage is Brinstar, also.

I like Young Link, he has fire arrows intead of regular ones too!

Yeah, Young Link is good. He is much faster than link, and as you mentioned his arrows are better. His sword is a lot shorter and less powerful though, and so is his hookshot. Also their Up-B moves act very differently. He is a fun character to play though, and he definately isn't bad.

Yea, Roy and Marsh (I think) are good too.

Yeah, I used to play those characters all of the time. They are especially good when using the C-stick for smash attacks.

Yea, you can't beat guys with swords!

Pichu. 
Superfast, Supersmall, very hard to hit.
Looks so funny when he runs.

Hydrule Temple and Pokeballs.

Hyrule Temple is great. It is so big and unique... Pichu on the other hand has one major disadvantage... He hurts himself when he attacks. If your opponet is a major side-stepping roller you could end up doing more damage to yourself than your enemy... But of course it probably makes up for his skills in the other categories. :)

Yea, I don't like playing with the Pokemon very much.

I play as Roy, hey they should make Boba Fett a character.

Nah, I really think it would mess up the game. If they made Boba a character, they would have to do the same for Luke, and Vader, and Frodo Baggins, and Harry Potter, and Dr.House, and Fred Flintsone, and the game would start to lose it's meaning...

And by the way, I am starting to play Marth as my new main character. He is basically the perfect character for me. He has pretty good ariel attacks, and he's very fast. Though there are faster characters, his reaction time is almost instant. And his smash attack is very good, especially when C-sticked. (I am not saying he is the best character in the game, I am just saying he is the best for my needs.)

They would, and will, never do that. the Smash seris is infinitly better off using only Nintendo based characters. Now, what would be awesome if Ridley and King DeDeDe became playable characters. Come on, we definitly need more villians then just Ganondorf and Bowser!

I like using a Beam Sword. Its like having Bowser and Mario sabre duel!

I loooooove super smash bro's. I'm not the best at it, but im pretty good. On the old n64 game i liked the laser sword (lightsaber kinda).
