Sorted by oldest to newestI've been wondering if Lucas will make a new version of "A New Hope," "Empire Strikes Back," and "Return Of The Jedi" becaues his new films have to much graphics in them. If he is, tell ME. If not please tell him my idea, Boba Fett. THANKS
He is constantly making remastered editions.
Technically he did with the Special editions.
Well despite the fact that I have no idea who this "Lucis" is :P...... I doubt there will be anymore remakes....
The special editions are done and in the past. Han and Greedo shoot at the same time, Jabba is...fine. Hayden is at the end and all is well in the world.
Ya, but I think he means like new filming and all... and I hope to god he doesn't because you can't fix what isn't broken. Also try to use a bit of correct grammer in your posts... its Lucas, Version... and why is every word capitalized?
Hail to the King Baby!!
Also, how are we supposed to tell Lucas to do anything if he isn't....I haven't ever met him.
If he does remake them as in film whole new movies I think I'll stop being a fan, sell my collection on ebay and turn to ST. That's how awful it would be.

Miba you might do that but if you were a big fan you will just over look it
No, i don't believe he would make them. And PS please use the edit button instead of double posting.

You got a point there yes yes.
How can one overlook the total and complete destruction of their fandom?

I suggest the use of the edit button. How does your computer's lack of function make you capatalize every word, and grant you spelling/ grammar mistakes?
He should either come up with something new, (whether it be Star Wars related or otherwise) or just leave it all alone.

Yes I was thinkin the same thing.
If by some chance the unbelievably stupid happens, and the movies are remade, I think I would stay a fan. Obviously the SW world would be split into factions, the Originals, the Newbies, and the Collectives (like all). So I would become an Original, and hold fast to the concept that Lucas at one point in his life had moral fiber but it is now all gone.
I suggest instead that he create something similar, but different. Maybe a completely new storyline, or a change to a new galaxy.

Isn't he making a TV show?
Isn't he making a TV show?
That's almost as bad, but not quite as bad, as remaking the OT. It wouldn't cause me to stop being a fan, but it would make me sit back in mortified horror for a very long time.

But doesn't the show take place in between episodes 3 and 4? Whats so bad about that? That's a long period of time I think it's appropiate for Lucas to explain a few years of what happened.
It's not a bad thing to show what happens during that timeframe, it's just a really bad idea to do it in a tv show. Now if it were a book series that'd be different. But every single SW tv show has been awful. Every single one of them. But for some reason no one seems to care and just keeps hoping the next one will be good when we already know it will be bad.

Here's where I show myself to be the complete and total geek I am. I think the idea to create something similar but different is totally AWESOME!
Maybe do something back in the era of the Sith, or, get daring. Pick a diversion point, and play the movies and story line from there. I'd love to see him ratchet up Empire's already impressive impact: imagine if Luke accepted Vader's offer? Or, go back earlier: The Clone Army, so deadly and efficient, does not age and die out as expected: something goes wrong in the programing. Perhaps Jango doesn't die, and rises to lead them, becoming himself Emperor. And Fett, hmm, how might he develop under those circumstances?

I agree with you that every single show to date has sucked, but I also think it's a new era for Sci Fi on television. Battle Star Galactica and to a lesser extent Star Gate have demonstrated that with commitment and focus, you can do serious and even dark Sci Fi and not have it turn out like the dreaded Christmas special. I think it's partly technology in film making and special effects, but also partly a different way at looking at the plot and pacing of a TV show in the writing, with the long and short arcs, and non linear forms of story.
I'm an idealist: I hope the series will be totally amazing. And I think the time between 3 and 4 is very interesting: very wild west -esque.
Yes, I'm sure I'm setting myself up, but I'm old, and going a bit daft, it would seem.

You could always try Battlestar Galactica...easier transition.

There's actually been quite a few SW tv shows, and yes, swdc.com is my site.

I think...if they re-made them....I'd still be a fan....
But thats just me.
But which warring faction would you join!?
We must rise up against the Newbies in order to destroy the chances of remakes once and for all!!!

Lol
If anything why not make something like Episode 3.5 that shows the complete destruction of the Jedi and the subjugation of more planets into the Empire, then actually make the Shadows of the Empire into a movie as number 4.5. then you don't mess up the "O"riginals and you get all the new graphics in the original story line.

Ok cool
as far as tv shows go, i can only think of 4. holiday special, droids, ewoks, and clone wars. clone wars pretty much rocked. the other three, not so much. if there are any that i'm missing please let me know.
There were the two live action Ewok shows, which were really, really awful.
The Holiday Special, which obviously sucks.
Ewoks cartoons which are cute but not all that great.
Droids, which is really weird.
And Clone Wars which is so not canon, yet everyone thinks it is and those who know it's not are in the minority and no one belives them anyway, which is precisely my point on why tv shows should never be made cause then things like this happen where it contradicts set canon and yet no one cares or believes it.

I hated them making clone wars :(.
I think, therfore i am I destroy, therfore i endure - IG-88 tales of the bounty hunters
weren't the ewok shows actually made for tv movies with wilford brimley quaker oatmeal goodness? my old roommates girlfriend bought them on DVD. that may be part of the reason i'm not roommates with that guy any more. ewok adventure, and battle for endor. they were feature length, so i don't really consider them to be tv shows. they were spin-off movies. and as for clone wars not being cannon; why the hell not? the action, story, characters, dialogue was better in that than episodes 1-3 combined. ok, seriously it's not that good, but it is better than anything that has gone before it as far as televised star wars goes. and the ewok movies are cannon.
Does anyone know if G-dawg is gunna come out with the special extended editions of the first three, kinda like 456?????
Why Clone Wars isn't canon:
1. The Mace episodes. Seriously, even a powerful Jedi would have broken, bloody, bleeding hands after punching a battle droid several times, not to mention leaping probably a mile's length up a hill? Withstanding the blast of wind that knocks over everything else without even flinching? Riiiiiiiiiiight. Sure I believe that, uh huh, ok.
2. The call to Coruscant. Gee, isn't it kinda funny how the book Labrinth of Evil already had the canon set that Palpatine calls Anakin back to Coruscant while on a planet (I forget it's name), but for some reason this tv show decides to show Mace calling Anakin back while he's on Nelvaan?
3. Durge. Now, the character Durge itself might be canon. For him to be shot repeatedly like that, only to "explode" into this super-huge monster who's arms can stretch across the length of a wide room, pulling with them the weight of several full grown men in armor.... I don't think so. Oh, and there's no possible way he could have swallowed Obi into himself like that.
And probably more reasons but I'd have to rewatch it again.

If Anikin had, say, neon blue hair during the entire series, everyone would agree that it is non-canon. I strugle to see how people see it as canon while every character is deformed.

Well, there WAS an actual (horrible) Ewok TV show that was a cartoon, like the (also horrible) Droids cartoon. Only difference is in the Ewok show they all speak English. I garantee you'd have to pay me several million dollars to make me watch that crap. And I'll be on the floor crying in the fetal position the entire time too.
