Back on subject.
I think what a girl looks for in a guy, is that their trustworthy. They don't want him to beat the osik out of them if they get married...AND just want them to love them.

I guess my current pitfall in relationships is falling for unavaliable guys... not guys that are already taken but guys that aren't interested in a relationship any time soon.
Other than that, I've got finals so I can't get too wrapped up in other things.

No, I don't have a trailer of my own. Farthest I've gone for a show is Granada, Colorado. (I'm around Denver)

I do intend to do more out-of-state shows when we get the trailer.

Yeah, i'd love to compete someday. But i highly doubt i ever will.
I knew some people who lived in Colorado...but i barely remember the place.

I know this is late in the conversation, but Ph34r I'm telling you know you'll be hot in a few years. Don't worry about it. I think all guys go through a gawky stage. I look at photos of my hubby when he was much younger (before I knew him) and I think cute but geeky. Now he's a hot geek. What can I say, I love brunettes.

SD_Chick, I've found most guys don't pick up on the subtlies of female behavour, so they go for the outrageous flirts because they know they're interest. Those of us who are shy or more subtle with our flirting tend to miss out because the guys don't notice the signs.

Believe me, my hubby has confirmed it. Sorry guys!

I think body language is the key. If you're interested, touch their arm in conversation etc. You'll get to know if they reciprocate or not. If they lean towards you and touch you back they like you. If they lean away or push you away they don't.

Touching isn't always good, though. If someone touches my arm in a conversation, I don't care who they are, I'll pull back with a flinch. Some people just don't like being touched even if they like the person. My dad was that way, and so am I.

Yes, never patronize a woman.  It's fine to open doors for her and such, but if it becomes a hassle to her, or you throw a fit when she forgets to wait for you and does it herself, that's no good.  And don't ambush listen, as in not really listening to her conversation but listening for specific points that you can use to change the subject to your own personal endeavors.  And don't keep her up late at night talking about all the things your friends did inside of video games that week.

News Update...:(

I managed to get the courage to ask her.
She said the words everyman dreads: "Let's just be friends"

So instead of going out with her tomorrow, I am, instead going to be at home alone all day. If I had something to do it wouldn;t be there mocking me all day, just thinking about what would've happened under different circumstances. Like in a world where I wasn't so nice, or a world where I wasn'y quite as smart, or a world where I wasn;t as incompetant due to my intelligence (anybody who thinks being very intelligent and being incomeptant is impossible obviously isn't as intelligent as me.)

I said "the offer still stands if you change your mind" but I'm not expecting anything, its getting later and later in the day now.

I feel hungry when I've just eaten, cold when I'm in a heated room, sadr, angry, disappointed, betrayed,  every negative emotion flows through me like my blood, rushing up at every available second.

I....feel so hollow.

"Truly this Humorbot5 was forsaken by god."

Not to be mean, not to be insenitive, but the best way to deal is just get over it. Everyone knows the smart kids get jipped until later in life, so tough it out.

And after my experiences, its really not that bad to not have a g/f. Ya my g/f was great, she made me smile, I liked to make her laugh... but theres always something that makes it ok to be single. My friends are great, so I hang out with them a load more and I have a lot of fun. I also have more money to do with what I like... instead of spending it on somebody else.

Oh... sorry about that I guess. Ummmmmmm, ya so just go with the flow, more seas in the fish or whatever.

Well its easy to get over the first 3 times....But I've asked out several people in my life and its not like they've all been "Out of my league" or anything.
Sure a couple were, but this time she certainly wasn't. The one person who knew about it other than me seemed to think that it would be a great idea to ask her out.

The problem is, you spend all this time becoming friends with them, then asking them out puts a wedge in....

Besides this was all earlier today, I have had little time to get over it.... Maybe tomorrow.

This is errie. I've been sitting on my arse waiting to be asked out and now I'm almost 20. Yeah, smart chicks come up second place. When people ask me why I haven't asked a guy out I tell them the following:
The ONE time I got rather blunt with my feelings and asked someone out, he turned me down for a 43- year old woman. That's right folks... a 21 year-old guy turned me down for a woman who's more than twice his age. If I were a drinker I would have got stoned that night.
So... I basically have no self-esteem either. I've got another person on my mind now but I can't believe he's still attached to his biotch of an ex girlfriend. I should give him a note that says to call me when he's ready to date a WOMAN and not a girl... but of course I wouldn't do that because I don't have the nerve.

What kind of guy would do that? he probably wants her for her money. Someone will find you and have to get alot of courage to ask you out, I bet that someones doin that right know. Hes probably just waiting for the right momement you ask the most beutiful girl in his life out.

Honestly sometimes love is so blind. I was single for a long time, believe me you're better off on your own then in a bad relationship.

I had a friend that had a boyfriend that beat her (I never ever thought she'd tolerate that sort of behaviour). It took her to be hospitalised before she left him. Thankfully she's engaged to a lovely guy now. I used to work with him so I know she's found a gem.

December 20, 2006 5:22 am (Edited December 20, 2006 05:22 am) #

Well, it would also depend on where those 2 were situated....

If my ratio was 10:1 and the 1 had been right at the beginning, then I would be more likely to be able to use that as a rock to make me feel better when someone says no....

And of course if it was 10:1  with the 1 at the end, I'd have a girlfriend right now.... :(

The top-side of moving to new schools, is you get to make a brand new start every time.

I intend to move school at the end of this year.

Of course I couldn't explain this in much detail as your schooling system is entirely different.
