It has come to my attention that the subject of Boba Fett's ships have come into full swing once again. I was looking at a "Slave 3" design on this website, and I began pondering the thought. Never before had I thought that a third ship was under Fett's ownership (of course there was the Hound's Tooth for a brief period under his command). I feel that the Slave 1, in essence, is as much a part of fett as his helmet. Inseparable. I know that the Slave 1 acquired damage from chasing after Solo, and was undergoing repairs while Fett continued his hunt with Slave 2. Never does it mention, upon my recollection, of Fett acquiring a third ship when he feels Slave 1 becomes outdated. You can tell that Fett has somewhat a stronger liking of Slave 1 than he does Slave 2 just because of his mannerisms, his actions.

Sorted by oldest to newesttheres a slave 4 in case you didnt already know.
That is quite sad and dissapointing, Slave 1 is the Face that is feared across the galaxy as much as his t-shaped visor. Although in his line of work I'm sure it was necessary to take hold of so many ships. I still believe that Slave 1 was "his" ship, his only real ship, and the others were temporary for him to achieve the task at hand.
I kinda agree, I don't really like the other Slaves as much as Slave I. I heard Slave IV looks like Slave I but I could be wrong.

In what books or novels does he use Slaves II,III, and IV? I have just started reading Bloodlines where he is 71 years old and it says he is flying the Slave I. Did Karen Traviss make a mistake?

go to wookiepedia and you'll find out that slave 4 is the same type of ship as jasters legacy, which is the ship jango used in the first half of star wars bounty hunter.

no theres no mistake its just the other ones were destroyed or severely damaged and he managed to restore slave 1.
Slave 1 is defintatly his favorite ship he says how good it is in bounty hunter wars.
I think, therfore i am I destroy, therfore i endure - IG-88 tales of the bounty hunters
actually thats not very accurate, Im not sure EXACTLY where but he STATES his favorite ship is one of the mandolorian ships Jango left him during his death. Slave 1 is used the most only because it was built for speed and fast getaways that a bounty hunter could use during dangerous jobs, but Im sure it isnt his absolute favorite ship.

The three books in Bounty Hunter Wars (by K.W. Jeter) came out in 1998/9, years before Jango was a character in all this. So IG-88 is accurate to say that, as are you, given different time periods.

Boba is paranoid and likes to have backups... and backups of his backups. It's partly a Mandalorian thing, but I do suspect he's a little more paranoid than most. Might be a bit of schizotypal personality disorder in there somewhere.
The extra ships are there in case he needs to get somewhere unnoticed or if Slave I needs to visit the mechanic.
If memory serves me, I read somewhere that he was seen using an unidentified ship. If it was his, it could be named Slave V.
Slave II was in Dark Empire...
It was a very unattractive ship... I was glad when Fett (quite incompetantly) got it destroyed....

Wow there is a slave 4 sweet
He uses Slave IV in the Young Jedi Knights books (which are 5-10 years before New Jedi Order), and if you're judging by the cover, it looks exactly like Slave 1. But that's probably just a lazy illustrator.

Wasn't the Boba Fett in the Young Jedi Knights books actually Ailyn Vel masquerading as Boba with Alpha's armor and ship?

You bet it is! Check out the REAL Slave 4 son!

Coincidentally, it is the same type of ship as Jaster's Legacy.

Okay, I read Abel Pena's explanation of why he changed that, and sure, I'll agree that it's now Ailyn. So that point was void.

Doesn't one of them look like a flying twinkie? Been a while since I thought about it.

You could be thinking of this: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Slave_II
Ok, so in summary...
Slave 1 = Firespray we all know and love (impounded)
Slave 2 = The "Flying twinkie" that looks pretty stupid (obliterated by Byss planetary shield - back to slave I)
Slave 3 = (unknown class) Momentary use until damaged and nobody really knows what is going on with this 1.
Slave 4 = (AIAT/i Class) Same style as Jaster's Legacy, used for a while before abondoning it on a job. Found later by Ailyn Vel.
Hope thats right =/
edit: Sry, your right it is unknown model not firespray.
Hail to the King Baby!!
Slave 3 wasn't a firespray.
That is in fact why I put it was a firespray class, but after extensive research (about 5 minutes) I found no images, other info, or any other site that mentions a ship class. And since I don't take Wookipidia at face value, I really would like some other form of proof.
Also there were a bunch of pictures of that strange looking ship shown on this site at one time. So until more information is available I will keep it as unknown.

I don't trust Wookiepedia anymore than the rest of the internet but I have read the book it sites as a source. It does mention that the Slave 3 was Firespray somewhere in there.

slave 4 looks pretty much like the slave 1, and it seems that three of boba's ships were police enforcement ships, that is, if the slave 4 is a firespray
slave 4 nt a firespray per-say they are no longer made. slave 4 is the best boba ever had and is much more powerful, stronger, harder, faster, and more agile than slave 1 and the hull can melt back into place after getting hit.
Were did you find that out ? I heard slave 4 was the same model as Jaasters legacy which would make it nowhere near as good as slave 1 and if it is better than slave 1 then why did boba continue using slave 1 again?
I think, therfore i am I destroy, therfore i endure - IG-88 tales of the bounty hunters
Slave 4 is the same model as Jaster's legacy, mando_warrior i have no idea where you found that info... but it is a little exagerrated. And by a little, I mean a lot.

Here's the article on Slave III I'm not sure how accurate it is.:)
It's about as acurate as anything else, and that's not saying much. It even says "True or False" at the top :/
