Topic: Boba Fett Vs Darth Bane (Mando Vs Sith Lord)

One is the greatest Bounty Hunter ever recognised in the Star Wars Universe.

The other was A Sith Lord of the highest order, believed to be the Chosen One and one of the greatest Sith Lords ever.

But. If they met in battle who would win?

Who would walk away with the other's body in tow? 

Fett with his weaponry and skills or Bane with his mastery of the Dark Side of the force, his great strength and lightsaber.

Both are ruthless, both are unstoppable.
Who would win?

Both unstoppable i dont see how either could be stopped :o but this would be a close fight myself i am not sure........

Im not totally sure who would win. I would root for Fett, but Bane is wicked strong! Then again, so is Boba.

Bane would crush Fett in a second... for those who have read path of destruction...think of when githany shows him how to do force lightning...I love fett but there is no chance

Behind the scenes thats what I thought, but I thought I'd make the point out of making a thread out of it.

Darth Bane is one of the  greatest ever sith lords the sith would have probably died completly without him then again, if Bane is like Vader with force lightning then Boba would definatly stand a chance.

I'd say Boba could beat him, if what was said about Darth Bane is true. Wits and skill triumph over Force Lighting any day.

it depends what Darth Banes weapon is if its a lightsaber and boba has his EE-3 i think boba will win but if boba has his blaster pistol with stock i think bane would win and it also depends if boba or bane had the advantage of surprise.

If they were expecting each other.

And also "Fett's wits and skill" will not help because Bane has a similar element.
With his bald head and musclely exterior most dub him as stupid upon seeing him (of course Boba Fett tends not to over or underestimate anyone.) But he is as clever and cunning as he is strong and force powerful.
I assure you Fett has no advantage over Bane in that respect.

Alright. So say Bane had his lightsaber and Fett had his EE-3. How would that give Boba a winning advantage?

Yeah anyway the pistol with the stock is actually a concussion grenade launcher. I think this would probably be a draw but Boba might win eh im going to have to hear more of people's arguments to make up my mind.

What does Fett do?

Fett's armor could brobably take the damage.

if Fett had both EE-3 and pistol w/ stock he would probalby win.. Bane would be to arogant with his "im more powerfull than u" and "the dark side will destroy u" sith type stuff.

h/o lets step back here for one second, now im taking that you are referring to the comic books Enemy of the Empire and thus referring to an aged Darth Vader who was a extremely close match for Boba, now Vader was a cripple, The Chosen Cripple, if you will, now in lst of the top 10 Dark Lords of all time Vader is amoung the list id say but he is on a lower level then Bane so if Vader gave him a run for his money, Bane would take him all the way

Vader may have been a cripple, but he was one of the most powerful beings in the galaxy.

Yes and had the biggest part in eliminating  the Jedi. I have researched more about Bane and decided Boba has done much more in his life time to make himself a legend and in my oppinion a greater warrior than Darth Bane.

Bane learnt not to be arrogant after his tussles in the Sith academy.

He coulda given a Vader at his peak a run for his money.

Also when Fett fought Vader he probably would've been at his peak a bit before a new hope.

Vaders peak was more around episode 3 then before episode 4...after he lost his limbs and padme, he ws just an empty shell, Bane learnt from Revan and A Lot of other powerful sith lords, Vader had palpatine yes but i would also like to add that Darth Krayt gets Banes holocron...not Vaders and i do believe Krayt was alive during Vaders reign...Fett it was nice knowing ya but Bane would crush him. Also Bane wasnt the only one considered the Sith'ari, there was also the Zabrak whos name escapes me right now.

How would he crush him tell us what advantages he has. In episode 3 he had only just become a sith he couldnt have been powerfullest then and the fact that he is part machine wouldnt make him that much weaker.

I have a few things to add.

Well first I was gonna say about the Sith'ari thing but I didn;t want to make a mistake and I couldn;t be bothered to go get my copy of Path of Destruction to check. And secondly thats the reason I won' tell you the name of that Zabrak.

As for the Holocron well, I think ol' Krayt was probably not as learned as he would have hoped, seeing as if he wanted eternal life or whatever surely he should have used a holocron belonging to Plagueis?

Also he wanted to talk to Bane cos similarly to his Vong infection Bane had suffered that obalisk thing.
And the Vader Peak thing. Between III and IV. For Sure. Maybe around... 8 BBY or so?

As for Bane's advantages well he was a supreme master with a lightsaber he would have easily defeated the likes of Mace Windu and probably Yoda. He was also a master of the dark side. Think Luke (circa Betrayal) only on the dark side. On the first day he learnt Sith Lightning I would imagine it was Palpatine standard. He used the dark side to survive when powerful (really powerful) poison was in his system (killing him. He was also no physical pushover. Due to years in the Cortosis mines he was massivley strong like "World's Strongest Man" strong, it would take an awful lot to knock him off his feet even without the force.

Plus as many of you say in a lot of these things "Depends if Boba got the drop on him"

You can't "get the drop" on the dark side of the force.

This reminds me of a quote from Tales Of The Jedi The Sith War: "Technology, no matter how deadly,is no match for the force"
(So what I'm basically saying is stop going on about the EE-3 and junk, this is about skill not weaponry.)

Wow that was very convincing if he could beat Yoda then i think Boba would lose but i reckon Boba could beat Mace. In a tales comic it says only a handfull of people could beat Boba in hand to hand combat. Can anyone else help me give reasons why Boba might atleast draw ?

I would imagine the handful of people were trained in Echani or Mandalorian methods.

Assuming "Hand-to-Hand" doesn't mean the force.
Which it probably doesn't seeing as the context was with Han Solo.

The force dosent make you win automatically somtimes it takes real skill.

Yes, plenty of force users would be slaughtered by the likes of Boba Fett.

Obi-Wan Kenobi or Anakin from Episode III wouldn't stand a chance for instance.

But blind han totally destroyed him... j/k

I'm not 100% sure i'm thinking of th correct person when i think of bane, but nonetheless I think he would have a slight upperhand on this 1.

Fett's mando training vs Bane's pure power... I give it to Bane, i mean he is a Force Tank.
Boba has my respect, but Bane just overpowers him in too many ways.
Only reason id say Boba has a chance, is due to his arsenal and ability to stay alive in dire situations.

Bane is the bald bloke who's on the front of Path Of Destruction and was also in Jedi Vs Sith.
