Well, last night I was wondering why people go by certain names on BFFC? Like if they like there name or it is a nickname from school or something.
I got my name at school. Every one calls me Prancer or my real name. I got the name Prancer because ehen I am bored I started "prancing" around.
Topic: Why do you go by that name?

―Peter Griffin
Character from a SW novel I'm writing. If you want I'll send itby email for you to read.
Maltese is based on a Mr. Maltese who was part of the Looney Tunes team for Warner Brothers. I forget where Kentaiba came from.

To be honest, I just came up with it way back when I first got the internet. I think it had something to do with a 'Power Ranger' character I had invented in my head....only later did I find out kale was a vegetable and even later then that that Lady Kale (my other screenname) was a cartoon character.

I have heard of that guy, but I always thought that it came from the old movie "The Maltese Falcon." Anyways, draco means dragon in Latin. I should have chosen necro, though. Necro translates into corpse.
I choose my name cause its the onlything i could remember cause the email adress i wanted was taken, every one at school calls me wookiee man(cause i can make the wookie voice), jean( cause i wear alot of KISS shirts) and dragon cause of my earing
SD= South Dakota, my home state.
Chick= Because I'm a chick. No, I don't consider that term sexist. If I were sexist it would be SDBroad!

Or the Republic of Malta, I'd heard about Maltese Falcon after the fact.

The drink of bounty hunters
Alright, but,in warning I'd like to mention some of its a little shaky because I haven't had time to edit it.
Some parts use pronouns where they should use nouns, etc. Email me back when you get it.
If you think of a name for the story let me know. Now, getting back on topic.

The origins of my name will forever remain a secret. However, some people (including my mother occasionally) call me Captain. I really have no idea why. I have never â€Âcaptained†anything in my entire life. But you’re welcome to call me that too!
--Boba Fett
Well mine's pretty boring, BFFC - since I'm a mod, and Mel is just short for Melinda. On other sites I either go as Bootlicker or Swordkey. Bootlicker was just a tongue and cheek thing. Swordkey was taken from the Resident Evil games, it was a key with a sword emblem on it.
It was like thousands of voices cried out for a sequel and were suddenly silenced...
Mine is obvious---but the number is for 1979, the year I was born.
I also go by Starwars79, Darth_Taiter 79 (Taiter being a nickname I've had for years)
I got mine from ARC-Troppers, and Boba. Nothin special. But I like it.
http://www.bobafett.com/boards/viewtopic.php?id=309 There's already a thread for this....

Mine came from KotOR, obviously. He's my 2nd favorite charater, and because Darth Revan was taken.
Bubba Fett is the name of my cat.
I love Clone Commanders because they killed their Jedi Generals. I hate the Jedi for killing most of the Mandalorians. Commander Appo is my fave commander because he led the attack on the Jedi Temple. He was badly wounded by Zett Jukasa, but he survived his injuries. Darth Vader was very fond of him, but Appo was killed by friggin Roan Shrine, a Jedi Master, during the Wookie uprising on Kashyyk.:(
I got mine from my friends because I was hissing during episode two (I used to hiss a lot). They started calling me kittie. The sith just kinda got stuck on somehow. My old screennames were getting spammed like nothing else, so I needed a new one and just used that cause it amused me.
Sithkittie, is your avatar of Cthulhu?
Cos I was "humorbot" on ST.com (Star Trek)
But then some punk moderator deleted me for "inactivity" so I was forced to put a "5" on the end.
Bah.
Then I simply kept it wherever I go so that its easier.
Bubba Fett is the name of my cat.
Nice name for your cat! My cats name is Oliver. We call him Oli, the White Beast, or his royal majesty.
The drink of bounty hunters
...My cats name is Oliver...
My brother has a dog named Oliver. I swear, that dog is the stupidest thing to ever walk this earth....

BalanceSheet, for those of you who haven't read the bounty hunter wars trilogy, is the name of Kudar Mubat's balancesheet node, who eventually killed his master and took over his enterprise...I used to go by Shrike Jerriko, (a combination of Garris Shrike (Fagin to young Han Solo), and Dannik Jerriko (millenia-old assassin)), but after a while, I decided it was too cheesy...for a gaming handle, anyway. (I do a lot of LAN parties).
So at one LAN, I randomly changed my name to the first SW character I could think of...BalanceSheet. And it works really well as a gaming handle. It's different, random, and memorable. Not planning to change it anytime soon. (Or my avatar, for that matter. ^_^)
-Captian Murphy
Sithkittie, is your avatar of Cthulhu?
nope, but that'd be awesome. ^_^ It's a concept art for a random squid monster from the original trilogy. I'm not sure what they were gonna use it for... I scanned it out of the magic of myth book. Can't say for sure what it is.... o.O hence squid monster of doom. ^_^;
Sanguis- it was my RP name for one of my characters. Its latin for Blood, im into vampires and most of my friends think im dead cus my hands are constantly cold and my lips blue, and im not one to show my emotions. So the name just sorta stuck.
also Rees-cus its my last name.
I suppose my original post about my nameonly actaully explained the "5"
well the rest is a name I picked up from Futurama
Kudos if you can tell me which episode(s) (Theres 2)

Sithkittie, your avatar is the "Knobby White Spider". The predatory root phase of the Gnarltree on Dagobah.
Check this out...Knobby White Spider
Granted, "Squid Monster of Doom" sounds alot cooler.

Then you obviously not met my dog, Kaile. Rest in peace.
i go by this name DARK CLONE, because i kind of like the darkness, and also be a clone, like bOba fett!!!
GREETINGS
aNGIE
I picked mine because my nickname is Jonezy. I couldn't think of anythink else that went with Jonezy and jetpack sounded good.
I just sincerely hope that everyone can grasp the simple concept behind my name =P.
Hail to the King Baby!!
I belive that it is the square root of pi times xi. Or it could be a corruption of the phrase "holier than thou."
obviously Draco, you dont take the square root of i since its already the square root of -1. =P
other than that, very perceptive.
Hail to the King Baby!!
I ment "i" as an imaginary number, like 4i, 65i (I am in accelerated math). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imaginary_numbers
Ah Imaginary numbers
The Mathmatician's TV...
But so that this is not completely off topic, I will now state the name sof the Futurama episodes in which my User Name appaers:
"That's Lobstertainment"
and
"Bend Her"
And don't you feel so much better having learnt that...
because its my name.
I ment "i" as an imaginary number, like 4i, 65i (I am in accelerated math). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imaginary_numbers
On the risk of slowly pulling us off topic i'll end it by saying. I know what "i" is, I explained it in my last post. And that leads me to say nothing more than... "Twas but a joke which unfortunately was lost in the way that only those with the perceptions to locate Waldo could find it now."
Hail to the King Baby!!

I like Squid Monster of Doom better ^_^ It's good to know though. I was kinda curious. Thanks for the info!
my name is simple it was origonaly founded when i was in florida and i went on a pirate ship and saw a piller made of fake skulls so i thought bone tower and used it since then, though recently i found someone else had the idea and used it on a yu-gi-oh tradeing card... :s
I picked Sharra because it sounded kinda sci-fi. The character Sharra Fett is the product of my own imagination. She would be a second or third cousin to Boba if any fiction were created about her. This is as far as I care to "out" her for now.
The thingies in castlevania with the skulls stacked on top of eachother that spit stuff at you... are those called bonetower as well? or am I just giving them that name? o.O (sorry, I know thingies is such a descriptive word)
A cipher is a code, something that stands in the place of another thing to keep it concealed. It also means a nonentity or a nothing. Since my online identity is what I use so I don't have to give out real life details about myself, and that my online identity is a nonentity in the sense that it's not my legal name, it seemed appropriate.
I added the 'e' because the word 'cipher' looks a bit incomplete and so it's not as widely used as cipher or cypher. If you Google 'Ciepher', nearly all the results refer to me.
I also use the name 'Rip Van Winkle', and variants of Rip, after a relatively obscure character in a relatively obscure manga called Hellsing... luckily, both the character and manga are becoming more popular. I identify with her an awful lot, and have made a little fansite.
Good to see another Hellsing fan. That makes four or five.
Ja Ja, always good to hear another Hellsing fan.
So, it's
Draco
Myself
Balancesheet
Ciepher
and maybe some other people.

Wasn't there someone with a Rip Van Winkle avatar a while back?
Yes. Was that you under a different name?
