What is a good book to start with to read  about BF where he is not simply a passing character to the book but the main character?

Thank you
L.

Yes, it is confusing at first, but by the end of the series everything gets an answer. I loved those books, btw, part of what made me a Fett fan. :D They're probably one of the best books about Boba. For more books and comics about Boba, see my site:

Though I'm sure this site, bffc, has a list of books as well.

You may also want to read the 6 junior novels out there, some of it is non canon but it also explains a lot about Fett and Jabba plus Aurra Sing is in it and thats a good combo for Bounty hunters

Durge was also in it. I really did not like that series, it was too childish.

It is all canon. I'm not sure why he siad it wasn't canon, but it is. Yeah, some if is too childish, but that's ok. Boba was only 10, 11, and then, what, 12 or 13? He's allowed to have childish moments at that age. And the books are children's books, so you can't really expect them to have a more adult feeling to them.

Yeah but they shouldnt have shown his childish moments the charecter who was once shrouded in mystery is becoming less so :(.

I'm smiling because they havn't found the bodies yet. :)

um.....why not? Boba was a kid once too. He just lost most of his childish behavior in that series. You could see that the author was making sure he was becoming more and more like the legend he is as an adult.

There's also the short story in tales of the bounty hunters or Tales from Jabba's palace.

But yea, Bounty Hunter Wars is good.

i wasnt sure if it was all canon or not because doesnt the little girl he save meet her father in jabbas palace and then they get him mandalorian armor, i didn't find anything that confirmed that so i wasnt sure, didnt want to call it canon if it wasn't thanks for clearing it up though i appreciate it.

No you dont get it they are revealing more and more about him some thing's shouldnt be told i would've rather imagined what he did in his childhood. He dosent seeem mysterious atall now :( , and i dont like really think of him being imature because he was trained from an earliy age tained like a mando he wouldnt have been that childish.

...who's still in favor of the Jaster Mereel orgins?  :P  For those of you who remember that...but that's another argument.

Books to start with...well, everyone else covered it pretty well, but you should also try to get your hands on the Dark Empire graphic novel trilogy...it isn't about him, but he does have a pretty big part.  I think that was where he was first introduced as having survived the Sarlacc...

From my understanding, as I have not read it, No Disinigrations Please from Tales of the Rebellion is great.

i Know you said you wanted a book with him as a main and not passing but i figured id suggest this anyways, but read the chapter Boba is introduced in the OT, can't go wrong with the description and actions we see of him.

Me, me, me... I agree with the Jaster Mereel past. I really dislike the whole clone bit.

But anyway the first Fett novels I read were also the Bounty Hunter Wars and they were great. :D

I liked Shadows of the Empire too, though Fett wasn't really a main character but he was there...

I would advise you to start with the comic books. I think I've read most of them and enjoyed it each time since there is no narration to spoil the "mystery" of the man behind the mask...

Novels are ok, as long as they're action-packed and a little less on the talk level. That's why I didn't appreciate the Bounty Hunter Wars as I should've: in my opinion of Fett, he's not such a man of words, and the author made him speak huge lengths, many times.

yea but words give us a big insight to his motives and his drive, which is a very strong part of his character, his drive to achieve.

I get your point, but I always liked some room for my own imagination to fill in the gaps ;)

I strongly agree with the others that  the Bounty Hunter Wars series is an exellent way to learn about Boba. I've read them 6 times now and I never get tired of them, truly exellent work.

read them 6 times...damn and i always thought the people who read Lord of the Rings every year were a bit off set, but atleast you pcked something a bit more edgy.
