Studio Ghibli is awesome, I agree...Castle in the Sky probably being my favorite, but they're all pretty darn good.

Blood the Last Vampire...gaaa, how could they destroy such excellent animation by using the most HORRIBLE voice-acting yet witnessed by man?   

Bleach, my brother's got that, been too lazy to watch it...I just got Deeper Kyo, haven't watched that yet either...all you lucky people with your fancy Cable get to watch whatever you want, lol.  I just steal it from my friends who've pirated it onto their computers.

If anyone wants to watch bleach (which i think is my favorite maybe only after Trigun) the subtitled version is up episode like 90... or sumin, i just gotta find the site...

Wow, you guys put me to shame.  I've seen the first four seasons of Sailor Moon, the first two of Digimon, the first three of Tenchi, Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, most of Escaflowne, Gundam Wing, the same amount of YuYu Hakusho as everybody else, a little bit of Inuyasha, the Cell Saga from Dragonball Z, and all of Pokemon up to where they got rid of Brock the first time (it just wasn't the same without him).  Now all I watch is the occasional Naruto episode.

Tenchi really bugged me when they changed backstories after the first 12 episodes (or however many it was.)

I have recently watched one episode of "Orphen," and "Vampire Hunter D."

I've never heard of Orphen.  What's it about?

In the episode the protaganist (Orphen) killed some acid monster or something. I would not recomend it. I would recomend the manga Death Note and Zombie Powder.

I just started watching Excel Saga online. Funniest anime series I've seen.

It's about Lord Ilpalazzo the Second and his two underpayed teenage employees working from a leaky basement lair to take over the world starting with Japan.
In the first episode the main character Excel is ordered to kill a certain manga artist and she ends up getting rid of the manga artist for the series and they have to start the entire episode over again.

Heh...sounds fun, wish I could find that sometime...
I just started Ghost in the Shell...yeah, I hate the way the main character dresses too, but it's good stuff.  :)

Motoko's clothing changes at least in the second season

Aaaa, lost my Eureka Seven.  :(  My pirated OS keeps causing problems, hehe.  Right now, I can never turn it off, or it won't boot up again.  But anyway...

I'm going to go watch some more Ghost in the Shell...curious as to what Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence is?

Innocence centers around Batou and Togusa after Motoko left Section Nine because of the Puppet Master. Animation in this movie is excellent. Plot...not so much.
The first movie took a good chunk of the first manga while the second movie took what the first didn't.

Would not suggest watching the first movie, in the manga and anime Motoko can go nearly invisble. But for the movie she has to take her clother off first. And the second movie is just something to watch for the amazing visuals.

Heh, i just watched lupin the third, and Case closed from my old collection. Great shows if u ever get the chance.

Case closed is about a teen genius who is turned into a child and must solve mysteries by making the real detective feel like he is solving it (for anyone who likes shows where u solve the crime with the characters).

Lupin III is about a master thief and his two partners who rob high class places, and are always gettin in trouble. It is hilarious, and the cop is like the guy from the pink panther.

I've seen them both, and I think Cased Closed is a great show. Its keeps you in suspense and keeps you thinking. ;)
Lupin third is old and entertaining but I like Case Closed better.

Yea I think they mention it every now and again in the show, it's one of the reasons the co never gives up.

So where are you all watching your anime?  Are you just buying the DVD sets as you go?  And as for manga, are you getting them at Borders or something?

If you mean me, I buy my manga at a local anime store. It is not a chain store, so I shan't give the name. I watch most of the anime on Toonami and Adult Swim, but I am going to buy the uncut Naruto boxed set when I get enough money.

Me, I don't read any magna...except the stuff I steal from my brother.  :P
But I got all my anime from LAN party friends, just copied it off their computers.  I have no clue where they got it...probably just copied it from their friends too.  The only downside being low-resolution for some, no English dubs, and missing episodes occasionally.  But I don't have to pay for it, so I'm cool.  :D

Just saw Trinity Blood over the weekend. Compared to the Hellsing anime it is quite a bit better. But maybe that's just because I prefer the Hellsing manga.
Can't wait for next saturday's episode. And for those of us living inthe United States, Fullmetal Alchemist Conqueror of Shamballa on dvd tomorrow. Would have seen the movie in a theater first but I didn't want to drive all the way to Fort Collins.

Gaaa!! I've lost EVERYTHING...I turned off my computer because it was making odd sounds, and now I've lost all my Ghost in the Shell/Wolfs Rain/Deeper Kyo forever!

I was not able to watch it, as it comes on at midnight. If I stayed up and watched it, I would not get my allounce, which I will use to by the anime if it comes out.

I get manga from Shonin Jump which is a widely known manga magazine which can be found in book stores and in some libraries. (I have a subscription.) Also I watch Anime off my sister's comp which is full of the crap which she downloads from any site possible.

What is this magical "Kazaa", you speak of?  Just curious...I don't do much online because of Dial-up. :(

I have never seen any of them, but if you have not seen it, watch Vampire Hunter D, it was great. I do not know if its sequel was good or not.

I do not know if you were joking, but dome arigato means thank you very much in Japanese. Vampire Hunter D is about a Vampire hunter named D who is hired by an amature Vampire hunter to kill the king of Vampires. D is also a Dapmphir, the offspring of a human and a Vampire.

Heh, the only Japanese I know is "but" and "brother" (because they say it every ten seconds in FMA), I really didn't know what you meant...
Dapmphir...that's fun to pronounce... :P  I'll definetely track that one down.    Yeah, I remembered you commented on Eureka Seven, I just forgot what it was about...(leaving for college in about ten seconds)...

I gots me the second one (about the Valentine brothers)...it's very, very violent, but also some of the best artwork I've ever seen in an anime.

Hope it's in English...mines subbed in French, so if I hadn't already watched the old Hellsing, I would be completely lost.  ^_^  It's very, very good though...if horribly violent.

Actually, like I said earlier I don't like the english voice actor for Seras so I just watch the Japanese one with subtitles.

it's much better than the original to say the least. They even included the same eye effect Hirano does in the Manga.
Not much to say about it, I had to watch it in realplayer format I got from the net so I'll reserve any real judegement till I get it on Dvd.

If you (anyone) could recomend only two anime movies or series to watch, what would they be? I'm trying to find some good stuff to watch. ;) Maybe something that is high drama high concept stuff?

I would recommend "Howell's Moving Castle." I do not know much about dramatic anime.

Cowboy Bebop, and Full Metal Alchemist. Definetely.

Cowboy Bebop is a must for any anime fan. For action and comedy go Trigun, Rorouni Kenshin or Yu Yu Hakasho. For drama... maybe Full Metal Alchemist.
