Topic: Custom Mando helmet

k so i got an emial for Kel Solaar and he said that he is have problems with makeing the dome part of the helmet, so if you have an idea that you think might help him post here

Has anyone ever tried a custom Revan helmet from Knights of the old Republic? that would be sweet

I haven't, but I do agree that it would be pretty cool. :)

Revan didn't have a helmet, I don't think. I believe (s)he had a Sith mask thingie. I dunno, I went as Darth Revan for Halloween but didn't bother with the mask. I made my face all pale and covered with sickly back veins with terrible dark shadows over my eyes (^_^ yes, I'm terribly pleased about this). I should try that, though...

I didn't know you could -make- a Fett helmet anyway O_O I thought you had to buy them if you wanted a decent one. What's he making it out of, ARC?

Nah, people make those all the time. But if it is possible to buy one, you can probably make one... The main reason people make them is because the ones you can buy aren't so good, but this new master replicas one that is coming out might be...

Hes makeing it out of metal. And Revan dose have a helmet its Mandolore's for the Mando wars.

Yeah, Revan wears a Mandalorian helmet, I heard Revan took it from Mandalore after Revan killed him.

Now wait just a minute....

Canderous Ordo retrieved Mandalore's armor after Revan left. If Revan had the helmet when (s)he was taken by the Jedi, the Jedi must have had it. But if that be the case, how did Canderous get it afterward? If it's Revan's, did he just re-paint it after becoming Mandalore? Because on Revan it almost has a maroon tint to it, whereas on Mandalore it's distictly steel-colored...

Oh, what a nerd I have become...

At any rate, making a Revan helmet would be fun. But I'm no metalsmith =( Clearly it's a skill I should pick up.

Maybe like Mandalore is a title, Mandalore's armor changes? Afterall, Jaster and Jango wore different armor and both were Mandalore at one point.

I think either Ursula or Lt. Gay had some good suggestions for the helmets on the other costuming thread.
