Topic: BFFC Banner!!! YAY!

I pulled a few strings and requested a couple Banners for BFFC. Here is the first one...

I will be posting some other banners later. In the mean time, tell me what ya'll think of this one?

You could make thee letters stand out more, but other than that it is great.

Yeah, I hope to see that in the next banners. Hopefully they will be done tonight. ;)

It does look good, but I agree with the others, darker, easier to see text would be better.

For reference, the "real" banners for BFFC are available. I can include some of these, as I have before with a fan-made BFFC banner by Hr Nielsen.

Well I suggest you use one of these for the boards.  The ones you just showed me were better suited for the main page, Aaron.
Ok, I got a new banner, so they are all now complete. Lets vote on which one should be our new banner.

Middle one i like the bottom one but i think the words would be better in capitals.

I think Aaron's link was more like banners you can put up on your site to link to this one. And I think that's what your banners are better suited too.

btw I like the middle one best.

The problem with the first one is that the first two pics of Fett make it appear as if he is riding a bull, bucking up and down.  At least that's what I think.  6/10

Second one has great ambience, especially around the middle Fett...but the other Fett really doesn't need to be there.  He doesn't match the lighting very well.   7/10

Bottom one=favorite, though I agree that the letters would look better capitalized.  9/10

I'll make some BF banners in a few weeks...heehee...

Oh... I wish people submitted polls to the highly-popular front page of BobaFett.com... ;)

As mentioned above, if these "banners" are for the boards, how do they encompass or reference the Boba Fett community? Think about it. Otherwise, they do indeed look like general site badges, minus the fact that I don't think those images are on the site. ;)

Perhaps by incorporating several prominent member's avatars?...without appealing to vanity or becoming cluttered, hmmm...

I like what we have on the board right now. I'd vote but I'd rather keep what we have.

Well, if you ask me, the plain old black banner is borring. Imean BFFC is 10 years old, dont you think it should have some cool improve ments? On every other forum board Im on, they have cool banners, and I think BFFC needs on too.

Yes, True, you're right. In 10 years, it's really all about having an "improve ment" with the site logo. There's been no "cool" things here. :P

It should be clear that here, we're looking a bit beyond the neighborhood of "fan sites," and looking to make a more quality impact since 1996. Thanks for your candid feedback; I wish you added it to the survey when that was up.

um...np. I've been advertising BFFC at many different SW sites, and I think it might have rigged in a couple dozen members. I dont know if they post, but whatever. So are we going to "improve" alittle or what? You never really give the final word. :P

I like the banner we have now. It's easy on the eyes and does not scream "NEWB". Isn't it newbs who post tons of pictures all slopped together? Not saying these are that, but that they just wouldn't look right as the forum or site banner.

As for making one with people's icons, what about the prominent members who change theirs every other day or so? Even I've changed my avatar a time or two.

Meh...it was just a dumb idea.  I was trying to figure out what Aaron meant by "encompassing and referencing the Boba Fett community".  :P
Maybe he meant putting prominent member's names on it...transparenty, in the background.  But that might insult some people who wouldn't "qualify" as prominent...just dumb ideas here.

Yeah...but me and..I don't know, draco and Spider-Fett are about the only ones who never change our avatars.  If everybody were consistent, yeah, it would look awesome.  :D  As long as it didn't look crowded...

Ursula also has not changed her avatar, if memory serves.

I'll definetely get started on some BFFC banners next week...the only thing keeping me back was a horrible net connection, not a problem at college, though.  :D

we do need a new banner the plain "black with boba fett fan club" is kinda, umm how shall I put it with out insulting someone ummmm. boring..... I new one would be nice.

I havnt made these ya know. I have a lot of connections with graphics membes of other boards. I just wanted to make out a request to good ol BFFC! :D
