(Wow, you're quick.)
It was dark even with her night vision. And that seemed to match her mood. She was tired, and irratable. And, thus, more likely to fail her team. She had to moniter the Red vs, No-name sitch, take part in training to young bloods, keep her own emtions in check, and somehow manage to get off this rock, in hopefully, one piece as well as her team.
This was her third lap around the permeter and in as many hours. She closed her eyes and surpressed a yawn, "Kal, your watch," she muttered into the commlink. She popped the visor of her helmet and lightly squeezed the bridge of her nose, she was tired.
Kal bounded out of the ship and toward her direction, "Hangover?" he asked. "Yeah, from the fresh air," she replied. He chuckled, "Off to sleep and food for you, then, Dev. Sleep it off." She snorted and shook her head. She never slept, her history wouldn't allow it. But why worry the kid?
Keeping Kal spirts up she said, "As long as you promise to read me a bedtime story, Uncle Kal..." "Get off to bed," he said in false anger, slightly shoving her forward.

She walked in silence for the ship. She'd wait until morning to get her locket back. En'de could at least keep track of it till then. Throwing her back to the floor, she collasped onto the bed with bothering to take of her arnour but her helmet, and fell into a fitfull sleep.

(I didn't think so, but hey, whatever works.)

En'de watched the next shift as well, he wasn't very tired. But after that, he had to wake up one of the young bloods from inside the ship. He also had to pick up the leftovers from the bovine somebody didn't eat. Which got bagged and fridged for later. He almost fell asleep then and there, but remembered the locket, and walked out into the hallway. He tapped in the lock over ride code and knocked. The door slid open, even with the occupant asleep. He sat the thing down on the counter top beside the bed. Watching her toss and turn in her sleep as the door closed and locked behind him. He wondered if he would do the same thing if he slept. Treshnan's were just odd humanoids, epecially his old to be. The woman his father had paired up with him before he was born, she'd died the night before the wedding. He kept no item linked to her memory after that, the dead didn't need to bother him any more than they already did.
He'd get to work in the morning. The others needed their sleep without disturbance. He spent the next few hours working on his old marine helmet, hoping to be wearing it soon instead of the mando one. It'd get finsihed tommorrow night porbably. And with that, he laid down, arms behind his head. Lost in empty thoughts. And it would seem the dead were having a revival, that's all he'd been thinking about.

Devon jerked up from a nightmare, it wasn't anything new, waking up in a cold sweat, shaking.  She ran a gloved hand through her dark, grown out, flattoped hair. She stood up, and spied the locket, "Thanks, Red," she said aloud, while putting it around her neck, and hiding it beneath her bodysuit.

Growl. Devon laughed as she jumped from the noise. She hadn't eaten since 3 a.m yesterday.

The door slid open at her touch, and she wandered down the hallway, she paused infront of Red's room. She knew how to thank him, he'd been messing with some sort of blaster during her watch, if he hadn't already, she'd fix whatever was wrong with it.

Lucky, she thought as she watched him sleep without the nightmares that pluaged her. There, on the shelf, was the blaster. She took it, and headed for the kitchen.

She managed to find the remains of something besides MREs in the fridge and sat down with her tools, and began messing with the blaster. Something was up with the targeting system. Newbie," she thought, He'd tried to repair it himself. Blasters weren't too different than ships, but everything had to be just so, or the blaster wouldn't work. She'd be up until dawn fixing it. It was a wondre that the gun hadn't exploded in Red's face.

She sighed and took a bit of whatever the meat was, it was fair repayment. It wouldn't be a surprise, but perhaps that would be for the best.

Devon pulled a pair of headphones out of her pouch and hit a button. "..Stare in wonder at who's here to bring you down
Find your martyr, I'm sure you've made the crown. Light a fire under my bones, when I die for you I'll die alone. All my heroes have now become ghosts, sold their sorrows to the ones who payed the most. All my heroes are dead and gone, but inside of me, they still live on..." she fell into her own world again. The one where she was oblivious to everything, where everything was oblivious to her. Sometimes ignorance was bliss. She was so into her work and music, that she didn't see Kal come into the kitchen.

En'de opened his eyes, he hated faking sleep. And wasn't feeling too good about Devon taking his sonic blaster, it had been slightly volatile lately. All he'd been trying to fix was the range setting, it worked fine. He picked himself out of bed and opened the door. Walking in full armor old marine helmet under one arm down the hall he made his into the same room as Kal and Devon. He lightly pulled it out of her hands, not in the mood for talking.
"It's fine Dev."
He noticed the missing piece of meat from the fridge, he took some of the remainder as well. He saw the slight bags under his eyes in the reflection on the cooler door.
"Didn't sleep too well Red?"
He turned his head, letting his fake eye point toward Kal. The black patch that he couldn't actually see through.
"I never sleep too 'well'"

((Don't give me flack over this, its just a cameo))

Roby observed the ship Devon and her friends were staying in. He adjusted his radio wave so that he could specifically talk to her. Once it was adjusted, he said,"Dev, can you hear me, if so, come outside I have something to tell you." He didn't know if Dev would recognize him after a long, long time. After all, Ghent Spinx had looked out for him since the Sparra family were wiped out. Ghent had taken Roby and included him in the Spinx family. And when Dev was rescued, both had formed a strong sibling attachment.
Roby still watched the entrance of the ship.

((No flack here from me.))

Devon tensed for a millisecond after hearing the voice, but relaxed. She didn't want the boys to know what was going on. It was painfully obvious that they hadn't heard anything. She rose, and turned to Red, "I'm sorry." She got the feeling that the blaster had belonged to his brother. He didn't respond, she wasn't sure if he had even heard her. It didn't matter, she was too tired to even deal with her own emotions, much less his. She needed sleep, it was obvious now that she had heard Roby's voice. But, she had to check. It'd been so long since she'd seen him, Ghent Spinx, or Spinx Vera. Any of her living family. The long dead were never far from her.

She walked calmly out of the loading ramp, and onto the dewy grass. She didn't replace her helmet, she had it tucked under her arm, and she couldn't rely on her eyes to understand all of the overwhelming data. If Roby was indeed here, she needed to see it without machine hindered eyes.

She was dimmly aware of Hobbe comming out behind her and even less aware of herself saying, "Go back in, Slick. This is for my eyes only...if there is anything to see." She heard him retreat back into the ship, "Close it behind you," she said. And heard the faint whirring of the ramp rising. Hobbe trusted her, even if he thought her crazy.

She walked halfway out into the perimeter and stood there in silence, too shocked to even begin making the most infantile of sounds. There stood Roby, back in the shadows of the forest.

((Thanks :) ))

Roby was surprised to see Dev appear, his heart skipped a beat. But he was careful not to charge head first for her, as it would land him in serious trouble. Instead he took his helmet off and walked cautiously toward her, when he was finally close he dropped his helmet and embraced Dev, so much had happened since she had left, mainly bad things. "I can't believe I've found you after all this time," said Roby on the verge of tears, "Man, its been so long." He pulled himself away from her. "I've been patroling this area for awhile for Spinx's mercs, and so far almost all the Death Watch guys are here." But Dev wasn't interested in the Death Watch at the moment, she still thought she was dreaming. "Roby," is all Dev managed to say.

Devon gave herself a mental shake and pinch.  She waved a hand infront of his face. And he still stood there, unflintching, and unwavering. Alive, she thought, [i]Unlike all the others.[i]

"How..." she paused, cleared her throat, "How did you, how did you manage to find me? " Devon struggled to reign in her emotions and dam the flood of memories. She regretted not speaking to any of them for years, but it had always been that she'd only have enough time to get a breather and then she'd be whisked off for another mission. She'd onlt had the chance to send a few holomessages over the course of these long, harsh years. It wasn't enough, though. She had a million questions to ask Roby, but none were able to work their past her swollen throat.

She smiled weakly, but it was a true smile, "How are you? How's everybody?" And then she remembered where she was and became Sniper Devon again, the Devon that was detached, "This isn't a safe place to talk. You need to come inside. We, Hobbe and I, found that there are some, well, unfriendly neighbors in these parts."

En'de heard and felt the patch snap back in place. He hadn't been able to get a good enough magnification before the door had been closed. He ignored it for now, it was all Dev's business. He watched with his real eye as Hobbe walked back in. Kal and En'de had just started playing Holochess. Each on either side of the counter top.
"Why are we playing this game?"
"Why not? It'll keep us busy until Dev comes back...and there goes your pawn."
It was a quick game, the both of them about to finish when Dev came back with a friend. He let the patch flip up, getting a better view of the man. Dev elated beyond what he'd seen in a while. He sat there, starting a different game for himself. The small click from his eye the main sound from the room.
"Hey Devon, we were going to play Sabaac till daylight. Want in on the game? we're pulling bets this time." En'de

Sorry, I gotta ask Kara-Chan for help on this one. I'll be back in a bit. Okay, never mind, I can't email Kara-Chan at the moment...so, bear with me here.

Devon nodded, "Okay, Red, I'll play," she turned to Roby, "We'll catch up later. We'll also need whatever intel you have on the caynon. But, not now, not all of us are competent at the moment."

"Sure," said Roby, "I'll go outside and keep an eye-out." He then put on his helmet and took his modified Westar out of it's holster and stepped out into the cold of the night, he clambered on to the top of the ship and crouched, like a predator waiting for its prey. He fiddled with the laser pointer on his gun, and attached a silencer to the barrel, he aimed a couple of times to make sure everything was working, then went back to observing the gloomy forest. He took out a necklace with the arrow which belonged to his uncle, the inscription on the arrow was in Mandalorian, Roby knew it was the surname Sparra, but he took it out for another reason, he reached into one of his pockets and pulled out a small dagger and wrote on the otherside of the arrow, Devon. Once he finished, he put his necklace away and threw the dagger at the forest, there was then a sound of suffocation as a Death Watch scout came stumbling out. "Always on target, Sparra," Roby told himself, as he hopped down from the ship, and walked toward the dead body of the scout, he picked up the body and dragged it to the entrance of the ship. "We're definitely not alone." said Roby to Devon, and friends.

Devon put down her cards and looked at the others, sincerely hoping that they had heard Roby this time. They had.

"Seems like our friend stumbled into a gundark nest," Kal said. "Youngblood, you have a talent for stating the obvivous, "she said rising, and into the commlink, "That was a scout wasn't it? The Death Watch always send two. They'll know we're here. Get inside," she turned to Kal again, "Wake up No-name and Hobbe."

When Kal was gone, she turned to Red, "You'll just have to trust me. I'm the only one who knows how these goons think."

"You have a plan?" he asked her skeptically. "It's been in the making for a long time," she replied, pulling up a map of the canyon, "You'll just have to trust me."

He pocketed his cards, looking down at the map. From the looks of it, he might even get the chance to blow something up in the process. It looked to be interesting, but, there was still the matter of team differences. The Death Watch had much more people than they did as usual. He'd seen the armor on the scout, they weren't dealing with Jungle specialists, these were mountainous terrain units. He at least had the advangetage there, he knew what he was doing.
No-name walked in, he turned his head toward him and looked back down at the map. Other agendas could wait.

"No-name, I know that you're the commanding officer of this mission, but hear me out. From what Roby breiflly has been able to tell me, and from what we've seen, we're outnumbered at least 100 hundred to one. And, unfortunately for us, we can't risk sending for re-enforcements; they'll just shoot us out of the skies or high-tail it out of here. So, we're going to have to resort to certain tactics. Follow me so far? Good. We're going to have to make them believe that there are more of us. If we decide to do this, we'll have to take it slow because we don't know where to hit them the hardest. We'll have to keep them on their toes. Make them think that it's just some unorganized local rebel band at first, allow them to intercept some of our messages. Messages that we plant., of course. Simple things, but important things," she didn't bother to explain what exactly. Even the young bloods seemed to catch her drift, "You guys will do that."

"And you?" No-name asked, crossing his arms, "You're just going to stay here?"

"I am very few decent things, sir, and very many despicable(sp?) others. But, I am not a coward," she sighed. She couldn't believe she was actually going to do this, "I'm going back. They won't notice another non-descript woman in the harem. And you'll be surprised how much harem women know," she could almost see the protest coming from them. Not for going back, but for risk of their mission, "They won't recognize me. The branch that my adoptive mother and I destroyed didn't exactly care who came in out of their harems. One day you'd be alive, the next? Who knows, and this branch won't be any different. And you can't exactly deny the fact that I know how they think, I served in their ranks when I was young, and then I served them. So, do we do this, or does somebody have something better?"

They say that dreamers are an extinct breed. I say they're wrong.

"This isn't the first time I've faced these guys, so I'll know what to expect as well," said Roby,"Besides it sounds like its gonna be fun."
As the team was about to leave, Roby grabbed Devon's arm, and placed the arrow head in her hand.
"For good luck." He then put his helmet on, and had his wrist gauntlet loaded and ready. Roby wrapped something round his wrist, it was a chain with the Spinx clan emblem.
"Good luck for myself."
En'de just grunted disapproval, and walked on.

En'de unjammed the blaster, slightly grunting as he work with it. The new guy caught wind of it and expected something else appearantly. He ignored it, putting his newly fixed marine helmet back on. He wanted to see with his own eye. He lunged a hefty pack out with him, filled with a good number of things he hadn't had the chance to use in a long while. Demoliton a specialty. He made second to last on the line, watching everyone else back, both eyes watching. But the morning would come, he could get to his part. And then he could leave the whole business altogether. This missions was enough to make up for the one he lost, he'd finish this one. He held the sonic blaster lightly in one hand, Blaster rifle slung from the small of his back. He was possibly hauling the second heaviest load out of the group.
"Hey, if we survive this, anybody wanna go wampa hunting?"
His question left unaswered he trudged on.

Devon walked behind them to the treeline and then left them for a different local. Okay, so now what, Devon Tache?, she asked herself. Hide your pack, do some scouting, wait for nightfall, hide your armour, and get down into the base without being noticed. All of in a day's work.

She just hoped that Red wasn't stupid enough to go after
No-name until after this mission. She wasn't too worried about the Youngbloods, or Roby. Devon knew that as soon as he was able, he'd go after No-name. And, from what she knew, Devon didn't blame him. She just hoped that he knew what the consquencies(sp?) would be.

She looked down at the arrowhead that Roby had lent to her; she'd never keep it. Devon knew that it had belonged to his uncle, Kitano; it wouldn't feel right if she did. She could feel a recent engraving on the back through her gloves. D. Before her mind could register what it spelled out, she shoved it into her belt-pack. She didn't know what it meant. She just knew what it spelled. Her name.

She blinked twice at her HUD, bringing up a map of the area. There was a perfect place for a blind farter North, she closed her HUD, and walked carefully for it. She glanced up, the sky was still dark, and then at the chrono. The sun should be already up. It was going to rain she thought and when thunder boomed in the distance she added, Heavy. But, if the boys time their attacks well, the thunder would cover whatever noises they happened to make. Good luck., she thought for them. She had to now focus on what she was doing. Not them.

Roby snuck up behind, a Death Watch guard and slit his throat, Roby then signalled, En'de, Hobbe, No-name, and Kal to follow suit. After the guards were dead, En'de and Kal snuck to where the ships were docked, Hobbe stayed close to No-name and Roby and followed them to the barracks. No-name took out his gun, and readied his wrist gauntlet, Hobbe did the same. All of them went into the barracks where most of the soldiers were sleeping or dazed. Roby, Hobbe, and No-name fired at the soldiers with poison darts, and ran out of the barracks.
Meanwhile, En'de was placing chargers on the ships, taking out a few guards when he found the chance. Once everything was set and a suitable number of soldiers had been killed, En'de, Roby, Kal, No-name, and Hobbe all met on top of the ridge where the mission started. "What do we do now?" asked En'de gruffly.
"We wait for Dev, then we destroy everyone with the detonators you planted." said No-name plainly.
Roby saw that the younger ones were doubting the plan, but he knew that Devon would find a way out, she always did.  "If anything goes wrong down there, I'm going in." said Roby.

En'de went back to finish up the other side, each charge hopefully in a place no one would look. More worried about Devon, he ignored the feeling and kept going. He walked around to the other side, noticed the boot of the Death Watch stepping out of the inside. He thrust the blaster forward, sending the wave of sonic energy into the Watch's torso. He tapped the side of his helmet.
"Hoy, we better hurry up, we don't have a lot of time to finish our end."
He walked off, helmet of the death watch under one arm. He could always see if he could find a speeder bike.

Devon dug through her pack rapidly, and pulled out a small metal box. She opened it slowly, inside were her pet projects, J.A.I., short for Just Another Idea. They varied in size from katydid to a child's small finger's nail for the more sensitive areas. They'd record what she didnt have time to and she knew that the harem women knew what they were, she'd explained how to use them six times already. She had had to only explain what she was doing once. They all had sworn on blood that they'd keep their mouthes shut.

"If anything important comes up, record it, I'l get it. Hide them where we'll need to see, and if you think of anything else, just attach a datapad cord to it and download your information to it," the older woman, Devon hadn't bothered to learn her name, just her face, cut her off short, "Just remember your promise. Come get us when you're done with this mission, ad."

Devon nodded. It was clear that the younger women and teens looked up to this woman; none of them would betray a fellow woman, much less a harem woman like themselves.  She had assured Devon that there would be no betraying as long as Dev freed them after the mission, "Ask for Yul if you have to check in." "If you check in with me, ask for Spinx," she replied.
A teen that reminded Devon much of herself, the same color hair and same shade of violet eyes, rose and lead her to a back enterance, "It is safe to leave now," she said. Her accent was clipped, almost Coruscanti. Devon didn't say a word, instead an explosion south of the caynon did, "I think so."

She wrapped a dark cloak about herself, all of the attention would be on her boys. Inside of her cloak, she flicked on one of her toys. It was a type of holoshroud, it shifted with the enviroment as she moved. She would have to move quickly; it's battery would die after a few minutes. She'd only need a minute to get clear of the caynon, and a few more to recover her pack and armour. She'd be in the clear before that, though. Devon just hoped that she wouldn't spook her boys.

They say that dreamers are an extinct breed. I say they're wrong.

Roby kept firing at the Death Watch soldiers, occasionally kicking them to one side, or elbowing them. He was still keeping an eye out for Devon, but was distracted by the enemy. Until finally, En'de grabbed a palm sized thermal detonator, and threw it into the crowd of bad guys. Silence, then a big explosion blew apart the entire platoon of Death Watch soldiers. Roby got up, wiping off the ash, and blood from his skin and helmet. "What the hell did you pack in that thing, En'de?!"  En'de just laughed and coughed at the same time.
Roby looked out for Devon again...

He laughed and ran off, getting the signal from No-name to back-up Dev. He'd rather not, more interested in getting back at the Death Watch.
En'de had walked far enough it would seem, watching the door on the harem slide open. Not that she needed the assitance, he was just trying to even up the team. No-name didn't need four different people with him, especially with Devon on her own. The armor and stuffs beside his foot, sitting on a small rock. In one hand the detonator, a small tube with a capped button on one end so it wouldn't go off.
He waited, handing Dev her pack and all. Both helmets on the ground beside him. He closed his eye as she changed in the background behind him
"So princess, what's next?"

Devon glared at Red, "I should smack you dead for that," she pulled the torso half of her bodysuit over her head, "Thanks. But, I thought that'd be obvious. We get the shabla out of here. We've got to give the women time to get the J.A.I.s in place, and let the..." she shut up quickly, "Let's just get out of here," she said, replacing her helmet.

She picked up her sniper rifle, and slung it over her shoulder, for combat like this, she perfered to use the blaster she had. She tapped him on the shoulder, letting him know that she was decent, "So," she said jamming on her boots, "Where we headed?"

July 31, 2006 4:02 pm #

En'de stood up, rifle in one hand. Putting his helmet back on, he got the message from No-name. Uncapping the detonator, he held the tube out horizontally tapping the button thusly with his thumb. You could hear the explosion even from their vantage point, he hoped it had worked without doing too little or too much damage. He slung his back pack on and walked off, hoping the both of them getting to the ship was worth more than heading back to the Death Watch encampment. He felt quite a bit more comfortable in the marine helmet, his eye patch didn't rub up against the inside of it quite like the mando one. Besides that, he had the plus of watching with his own eye when he wanted to.
The ship was barren, not even the expected plants near the engine, he unlocked the door, shutting it as Dev walked in. He sat down at the controls, making small pre flight arrangements without starting any of the drives. And with that, they went around tieing things down. Their simple mission had turned into a problem, kidnap had become elimination.
"And the mountain trembled, blasted by the wind, and with it formed the path we walked. In that time we roamed, we made another route. That we might be born to sleep beneath the stars."
He sighed.

Roby slumped down to the ground, the strength of the battle had tired him, also the fact that his head and arms were cut up badly, but the main cause was a wound through the shoulder. No-name lifted him up and nodded to Hobbe and Kal to follow and to watch their backs. Roby realized what was going on, and nudged No-name away slowly. He stumbled for a while, until he reached a tree a rested up. He took off his helmet and dropped it, so that he could breathe properly.
"Where are you Dev?" whispered Roby, as he collapsed into a heap on the muddy ground.

Jesus christ! You guys just went on, and on, and on, and on......

Traviss was getting nervous of the situation, although he'd gotten used to it working with this team. As Traviss followed everyone, he began to wonder if everything he'd done the right thing-signing up for the mandalorian army. He could remember his father telling him of his mandoa' blood, and how he needed to embrace it. "Traviss!" No Name yelled back to him. "Keep your eye out." he said. Traviss felt good being givin a command. "Yes, Sir!" he said.

No-name hoisted Roby on his shoulders, and carried him all the way back to the ship, and just dropped him a few yards away. No-name walked over to the entrance, and said, "We take off without him, he's not on our team." Roby twitched and blinked, he tried to get up, but found he was too weak.

(Please don't)
En'de winced, he'd been nearly thrown into a tree, a stupid animal running from the sound of blaster fire had knocked him to the ground.
"I take two steps away from the ship and this happens."
He picked himself up, rifle thankfully in one piece. If anything he wasn't the best shot, targeter visible once more. He searched, pinpointing ten or so in the vicinity. He raised his rifle, hitting about seven of them. He looked around, not too sure what to think about the sudden silence. They'd end up burning the whole forest down at this rate. And he didn't carry a slug thrower, nobody had that he knew of. It seemed the fight had come to him. And Devon no where in site. Nobody around but a mucked up log...that moved every so often?
He walked over, the armor was at least slightly familiar. But he didn't recognize the face. He fell to his knee, appearantly he had a busted rib or some stupid thing. Something didn't seem right, sort of a buzzing in the air.

"En'de is that you?" asked Roby when he saw the big man  kneel over him.
"Yeah, it's me," replied En'de,"Where's the ship?!"
"I think No-Name left," growled Roby, "Could you pick me up at least."
En'de grunted and lifted Roby up by the arm. Roby found his footing, and patted Red on the shoulder. "Thanks."
"Don't mention it,...I mean it," warned En'de.
"Where's Dev?"
"How should I know?"
Roby sighed angrily, and clenched his fist, not because of En'de, but because of No-Name.

Devon watched from the forest undergrowth as someone took off with the ship. She had gone back for some extra ammo; she'd been out, and was now glad she had. She rose slowly to her feet, she'd just gotten out in time, unfortunately, that meant that Devon had had to jump to get off. She hadn't taken the fall right, and now had, at the least, a sprained ankle. But, Dev could have sworn that she had broken something because she had no feeling in her left leg.

She stumbled out of the forest, slightly dragging her numb leg behind her, "Red, Roby, sit down!" she yelled. They looked in worse shape than she was, covered in blood, and both had a pained look in their eye. She shuffled hurridly to them, and handed Red a det, "Press the big red button. He's a traitor, he deserves to die." She opened her belt pack, "All I've got is some bacta, some crude thread and needle, and butterfly bandades. Sorry, no painkiller. Kal, get me some water!," she yelled over her shoulder, "Kal? Now would be nice!" she yelled at him again.

"I think Kal is with No-Name," Roby winced as Devon analyzed his wound, "I couldn't really tell."
Roby ripped off his sleeves and snapped off his armor plating. "What are you going to do with that?" asked Red cautiously. "Shut up and stretch your arm up, I'm going to make a splint." Red reluctantly complied and Roby fixed the armor plate in position and tied one of the sleeves round. "Hold still, Dev." said Roby as he removed her boot and wrapped the other sleeve round her foot, he then put her foot back inside the boot.
"Its ok Dev, I'll be fine." Roby then stood up and grabbed Red's hand and lifted him up, Roby also put out his hand and lifted Dev up. "We'd better get back to the Spinx clan, not only will they be worried about me, but I told them about you being here, and they want you to come back, En'de can join if he wants."
Dev felt uncertain about returning, but they had no choice.

((About what?))

Devon paused as Roby mentioned going back to her clan. She didn't leave on the best of terms, and seriously doubted that she'd be welcomed back. But, she didn't protest. They all needed to get medical treatment. And, thus, you come back in need, she thought to herself. And then she remembered the det in Red's hand.

"Wait, Red, don't push it, yet. We can't take the chance that Kal's still on that ship," Red opened his mouth to protest, "I promise you can push it as soon as we find Kal and Hobbe. I won't deny you that." She eased up on her foot as they walked, making her limp more pronounced, until she could feel the pain, she wasn't going to take that chance.

Devon handed Red an inhaler(sp?) of some sort. "What's this?" he winced as he spoke. "Something that will help with your breathing. Push the button, and breathe in the bacta," she ripped a strip of cloth off her cape, washed it off with some water from her cantine, and sprayed the some bacta on it, "Put this on your shoulder. Don't argue with me, Roby. I think you'll want to keep that arm."

Hey, hey, hey, hold on. We don't have to kill you. No-name and (possibly) you are on the ship. If you are on the ship, you didn't know what No-name was doing. Red, Roby, and Dev are out somewhere in the nearby forest, injured and heading for what's left of Devon's clan. Nobody knows where Hobbe is.

I know what you're talking about though. It took me forever to figure out what was going on, too. Btw, I tried to message this to you, but your inbox was full.

En'de sigheed, almost laughing. Watching his old cruiser blink out in the distance. Of course the security over rides were all in his head, apart from that the security system itself could fry the occupants. Only one person aboard deserved that fate, so they had to hurry it seemed. He couldn't hardly talk, it was just too much trouble. His eye was still activated, zooming in and out of it's own free will. He had a headache because of it. And was pretty sure they wouldn't find a ship in the direction they were headed. There only other option would be Theed, the closest city he could think of. And that didn't look to be a good idea.

Traviss and Hobbe came running out of the forest firing back at the remaining Death Watch soldiers, they spotted the others and ran over to them. "Hey wait for us!"
The others turned around and saw Hobbe and Traviss running toward them. They were finally regrouped.

Roby put his helmet on for a moment, and called over the comm-link to the Spinx clan watching them, "Alright guys, it's time to come out." Roby took his helmet off, as the mercenaries came out of hiding. Dev was starting to feel nervous and uncomfortable, she gripped Roby's arm. "It's alright Dev." Roby said gently. Red however stood there bewildered, "Hang on a minute, they were watching us all the time,... and they didn't bother to help us!"  "They didn't want to get involved, big guy." Hobbe hid behind Red.
A mercenary approached Dev and Roby, "I'm the field commander, and it would be best if we left this area before more enemy soldiers come." As the commander said that, a transport came out of the forest.

Devon quickly let go of Roby and muttered that she was sorry. She couldn't believe she had done that, acting like a school girl wouldn't do any of them good. And, showing her feelings for Roby was...well, she couldn't, or wouldn't, find words for it. Devon wouldn't deny him the chance of having a normal life, a normal wife and children, even if it meant wallling up herself.

Wait a nanosec. I recognize this man's voice. Devon couldn't remember the man's face, nor his name. But, there was something oddly familiar about him. She suspected she'd be getting that same deja vu feeling for as long as they stayed amoung her clan. Let's just hope I don't cause any trouble because of it.

Before they loaded up on the transport, she handed the arrowhead to Roby, "You know what would happen if anybody saw this in my possession. And, I thought you might like it back."

"Keep it," he whispered gently, as he helped up Dev on to the transport. En'de snickered and nudged Hobbe and Kal, "Look at those two." The three laughed quietly, until one of the mercs came from behind, "You'd better get on board as well." It made Hobbe and Kal jump, En'de just slapped the back of their heads, "Shape up you two."

She propped her foot up using her pack, trying to get the blood flowing. The pain from the break would be welcome, the numbness was driving her crazy. She didn't look at anyone, she tried to seem completely engrossed in her datapad. Devon didn't turn on her music, instead she listened to the hypnotic(sp?) humming of the engines.

She wasn't the only one affected by it, she felt a heavy weight on her shoulder, and a faint, throaty snorring. She carefully peered at it out of the corner of her eye and struggled not laugh. She removed her helmet gently and put a finger to her lips, "Let Kal sleep," she whispered. He must've been wiped out to fall asleep 4 minutes after they had taken off. Devon leaned back, and allowed herself to be lulled into her state of ingnorance. The world and it's troubles could wait. She would deal with them later, if only the world allowed her this reveire.

Devon stared, glazed eyed, at the natural beauty passing beneath her, she recorded it to enjoy later.  When this is all over, you're going to treat yourself to a trip to the Lake Country.

En'de propped himself up in the corner, farthest away from everyone else. He'd lost his ship this time around, but he could at least do something about that. The old junker was days away from being replaced anyway, he just wanted it back for the sake of scrap metal. And he'd get it back, if he'd done all the right calculations. He pulled one of the sabaac cards he'd pocketed earlier out. Tapping the middle of it with his thumb, the face of it weakly glowing green. It was in range but just barely. He tapped a sequence of buttons out on his wrist guantlet, eye watching the color from the card. If he was lucky, the ship'd be in autopilot heading for home within a days time. If his luck was still any good that is. He laid back, holding his side, he felt distant. The whole affair a sign of sorts. He decided to ignore it, No-name would get hunted from one end of the galaxy to the next this time. And with that he broke the patch off his eye with his good arm. Stabbing the implant with his knife. He closed his eye, pretending to rest. The room would finally stop moving in and out.

Devon thought to ask Red if he wanted her to have a look at his mechinical eye, but she knew better than to ask. Might as well let him think we think that he's asleep, she thought. But, she had to have something to do with her hands, even if it was a meaningless action.

She took the stylus out of it's socket of her datapad and began twirling it through her fingers. She glanced over at Hobbe, and tossed the datapad at him, "I've download some stories and some games. Enjoy them." Hobbe nodded and asked, "Got any schematics of your toys? I'd like to study the designs, if you wouldn't mind?" "No, open the filed named Ideas. Just promise you won't steal them, k?" Hobbe nodded enthusastically(sp?).

She went back to the veiw. Yeah, Red, I'll think I'll take you up on that offer of hunting wampas. I've never been to Hoth.

Hobbe hadn't expested the change in ships but he could cope. As he was flipping the files on the datapad he came across some which could help his friends on Kashyyk.

Hobbe lifted his head up and asked, "Hey, Dev, could I borrow some of these.?" She responded, "Yeah, sure as long as you don't claim them as your ideas." "I won't. Thanks."

Hobbe continued looking through the files coming across a few interesting ones here and there. He couldn't wait to get back to Kashyyk. Although he hadn't been accepted into the village he usually stayed at he would begin his trials when he returned. He regretted the fact that he probably wouldn't fight with these Mandos again, but he would try to to stay in contact.

En'de pulled a cloth from another pocket, wiping the fluid slowly flowing out of his broken eye away. He couldn't see out it at all, but at least he didn't have a headache from the view panning in and out continuously. He'd asked one of the mercs to do him a favor, giving the man an encrypted data file to send back to the space port. Hopefully this would get where it needed to go, and he'd be one step closer to getting his ship back. Apart from that, there wasn't much to do, outside of catching funny looks from the crew members when he mutilated himself. A droid had rattled by asking if he needed assitance, he declined. Although, he'd accepted if he hadn't promised his surgeon to come back to him when it malfunctioned and no one else. He laid back against the wall, cloth up to his eye. He sarcastically gave Dev the thumbs up. Watching his hand shake as he put it down. Maybe Dainoga eye would be more fun, he needed to do something he hadn't ever thought of.

Once the transport landed, Roby woke up from his nap abruptly, and shook his head quickly, Kal still slept, En'de just grumbled, Hobbe was already standing up, and Dev growled from the pain in her foot. The field commander walked to the exit hatch of the ship and pressed a few buttons to open it. The day light poured in even more, Roby stood up and slowly lifted Dev and carried her in his arms, "You're in no condition to walk, so don't complain." En'de was already outside, stretching his arms, until he realized he had the broken rib, "Ow!"
Hobbe followed Roby, then he remembered Kal, "Wake up, idiot!" Kal snorted angrily and got out of his seat.
Roby carried Dev all the way to the medical station with his injured arm occasionally growling. En'de slowly walked toward the medical station. "Why did they park so far from the medic station?" Red growled.
