I do not mean to be annoying, but what is the worst thing that the series shows?

Well in the original series, one of the episodes has Integra being subdued by a vampiress, and it gets a little bloody and inappropriate (opens her shirt, no real nudity). That's about the only objectional thing, save for all the violence and blood.
The new series though, a vampire threatens to rape Seras Victoria (so she wouldn't become a vampiress when he bit her), and grabs her in a few places. That's about the only scene there that makes me cringe.

Hmmmm... I will just stick to the manga for a while.
Well, big issue is episode 5 of the original, I've only seen to episode 6 though.

People seem to want to talk about Hellsing again...
And guess what comes out on August 4th??? :D
New Hellsing Episode 2!!!!
-Captian Murphy
Dang, I still haven't seen number 1 yet. I'm behind I guess. But all I've got to do is wait for volume 8 this year.
apart from that, I hope Hellsing: The Dawn makes it to America.
But to start the new conversation.
"In the name of God, impure souls of the living dead shall be banished into eternal damnation. Amen."

Anybody who gets cable TV, one of the upper channels (ill see if i can figure out which 1) has Hellsing on every now and then. If anyone wanted to know.
Hail to the King Baby!!
Yea, I just watched it online though, it was not the best anime ever done.
I mean, I liked the beginning, but then it started to get really wierd. But i guess that couldn't be helped, Hirano is a slow artist, they only had the first two mangas to use as a template.

It was kinda cool though, in a creepy sorta way. Like i said on the other topic, i only saw the part where the red coat guy (Alucard?) rips the arms off the blonde haired guy wit glasses.
Hail to the King Baby!!
Yea, it's Alucard(Dracula backwards although in kanji it's also pronounced Arucard). And the guy with glasses is Alexander the paladin Anderson
I couldn't watch the english version of it, Seras' voice was really annoying for some reason. Maybe it was just me.
(BFFC Moderator)
You saw the english version of the new hellsing?
I've only seen the japanese w/subtitles...tell me...does Anderson have a good voice actor? That's all I care about... ;)
-Captian Murphy
I only saw the old one in english. Like I said I still haven't seen the new one.
(BFFC Moderator)
The one i heard, his voice sounded pretty good. But i really liked Alucard's.
Hail to the King Baby!!
You saw the old one...*sigh*...nobody else here's gotten ahold of the new one, apparently, besides myself. It's good, except for two partsthat bother me (seras's dream and the vampire almost raping her), and it's still in Japanese...haven't found any english dubs yet.
Seras's voice bothers you?...it wasn't terrific, but in this world of horrible english voice-acting, it's pretty good. (Have you seen Blood: the last vampire? Great animation...but the voice acting is hideously, horribly awful).
I'm just hoping they find voice-actors as good as whoever did Anderson/Alucard in the original...to dub the new ones. And hoping that you get a chance to see it Maltese, it's good stuff.
-Captian Murphy
I haven't seen Blood, I might.
I don't know, it just did. Usually I like english voice dub when it isn't edited, it's just certain people I guess. Like Eureka Seven sounds better in English.

What's Eureka Seven about? My friend has that...I don't know if I stole it from him or not...I just crammed as much anime as I could into my old computer to fill up the hard drives before I get my new comp :D, "Wolf's Rain" and "Ghost in the Shell"...haven't watched them yet, though.
-Captian Murphy
From what i could gather from the Japanese site (i used pictures) the new series is coming out on 8/25/06. Then again i can't read Japanese =/

Eureka Seven I think is a mecha-type anime (I have only seen one episode).
I'm not very good at explaining but you can watch it on youtube.
It's got fairly good animation, the voice acting is done rather well, and the plot is excellent albiet it takes a while to fully develop if you don't miss any episodes. unlike Gundam and Evangelion the mechs aren't the size of small sky scrapers, they're compact and at a believable scale.
(BFFC Moderator)
Ah...I'll have to steal that sometime. :P
I'm watching something called "Wolfs Rain" right now...it's pretty good so far. It's an apocalyptic world, surviving humans live in a giant, decaying city underneath a dome. Wolves are apparently supernatural beings, they've been hunted to extinction by the humans...except for four, who can fool human eyes and masqerade as people...still haven't gotten far enough to tell, but seems pretty good. I'll start on Ghost in the Shell later...you're a big fan of that right? What's it like?
-Captian Murphy
Ghost in the Shell, has it's ups and downs. Mostly because of the main character's choice in clothing.
The first season focuses on an event called the Laughing Man incident that happened 3 years prior. The Laughing man an A rank hacker. Very deep storyline. Amazing art especially in the second season.
It relvolves mostly around the magor of Japan's Public Security Section 9 and her squad.
.It takes place in 2035, for example the main character has a full prosthetic body.
Would not reccomend either of the two movies they made though, especially if you read the mangas or tried to watch it in front of small children of parents.
I'd give the first season a 9/10 because of the magor/major's attire.
I started Wolf's rain near the end, didn't quite know what to think of it.

Blasted scantily-clad women...I try to enjoy a good anime and keep having to minimize it when they show that crud...
Stealing more anime right now...heeheehee...my new computer's working and I couldn't be happier :-D
-Captian Murphy
I just tuned that much out after a while, what annoyed me more were the tachikomas(think tanks). Although they have the little extra bits if you watch the dvd's with them that are funny.

Hellsing volume 8 released in Japan, July 26th.
No slated release for the U.S. that I know of, if anybody finds it please tell me.
(BFFC Moderator)
I'll keep an eye out for it...*gasp* Hellsing Ultimate Episode 2 only FOUR days away...and after that, they finally get into the good stuff.
Episode 2 being about the Valentine brothers and all that...I think I'll go watch Episode 1 again...
Still hoping you find it Maltese...the Anderson fight is so much better in Ultimate.
-Captian Murphy
I'll eventually find it I'm sure.

You ever see Tenchi Muyo! In Love? The villian looked like Alucard, can't think of what it's called for some reason but the dog form he has looked like this guy every once in a while.
(BFFC Moderator)
No...I've never even heard of it. What's it about?
All the anime I've seen is probably
Cowboy Bebop
Hellsing
Full Metal Alchemist
Wolf's Rain
Trigun
FLCL
And the Studio Ghibli movies...
-Captian Murphy
Tenchi Muyo is about a high school student who's actually a quarter alien. After a bizarre serries of events. He has a space pirate, two princesses of the planet Jurai, the greatest mind of the galaxy, and one accident prone space cop living under the same roof as him. And they're all female mind you, each one trying to get Tenchi's attention. It's hilarious depending on your sense of humor, the plot is rather weak but it makes up for it. You can watch it by downloading from Tenchizone.com or watching on Youtube, Both are free.

...but nigh-impossible on dial-up. :(
I'll just have to wait until September...I'm heading off to college and finally, a decent internet connection. :D
Sounds interesting...you've seen Fooly Cooly, right? What did you think of that?
-Captian Murphy
That was interesting, did not make a whole lot of sense though. Only watched it once all the way through. Really like the ending song to it.
(BFFC Moderator)
I thought parts of it were hilarious...the whole pellet-gun fight thing that one episode , didn't like some of the sexual themes, loved the animation...I've only seen it once too, and it was a while ago...but none of my friends have it. Wish I could see it again...
-Captian Murphy
If you liked Cowboy Bebop the creator did another series called Samurai Champloo. Where Bebop had the blues, Champloo uses hip-hop and gets away with it. The name is slightly lacking but it keeps itself after that, the fight sequences are usually amazing.
Apart from a few sexual themes. Language, and the usual it has a certain something.
The animes I've seen:
Big O
Naruto
Hellsing
Inuyasha
FLCL
Full Metal Alchemist
Ghost in the Shell S.A.C.
Ghost in the Shell/G.I.T.S Innocence
Cowboy Bebop/Cowboy Bebop the Movie
Dragonball Z
DragonBall
Outlaw Star
Tenchi Universe/Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-oh-ki/and a little of Tenchi in Tokyo
Trigun
Wolf's Rain
Gundam Wing/ G Gundam/ Gundam Wing Endless Waltz/ Gundam Seed
Sonic the Hedgehog
Inuyasha the Movie 1-3
Naruto the Movie 1-2
Read or Die OVA
Shaman King
Pokemon(not proud of it)
S-CRY-Ed
Samurai Champloo
Yu Yu Hakusho
Princess Mononoke
Nausica of the valley of the wind
Castle in the Sky
Spirited Away
Witch Hunter Robin
Eureka Seven
and one episode of Betterman
But I'm still waiting on the Anderson one-hour special, they might just make it.
(BFFC Moderator)
I have seen:
-Naruto
-One Piece
-Samurai Champloo
-Hellsing
-Fullmetal Alchemist
-Inuyasha
-Zatch Bell
-Sonic X
-F-Zero: Grand Prix
-Shaman King
-Dragon Ball Z

Seen way too much anime and read too much manga, my sister is obsessed with it all and I usually just go along with it. My favorites are definately Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Rurouni Kenshin, and Bleach (can't believe nobody has mentioned it)
But as for manga, Zombie Poweder is awesome, along with Naruto (Not a huge fan of the anime)
Hail to the King Baby!!
Thank you for reminding me. I have seen Rurouni Kenshin, aswell as many Myazaki (spelling?) movies.
I do not have a great supply of manga, but I have read som Death Note and Zombie Powder, and those are great.
Miyazaki has made some amazing movies, my favorite is Howl's Moving Castle.
Hail to the King Baby!!
I forgot Kenshin and Miyazaki, Yu Yu Hakusho, some others. must have been late that night.
Bleach in September on the T.V. so I won't watch it till then.
So, is this topic flat lining? I guess I could rename it to something else.
(BFFC Moderator)
Good idea, this is much better, easier to talk about and hard to go off topic.
Bleach is amazing, plot twists akimbo (yes i said akimbo), great fight scenes, funny. Think Rurouni Kenshin and Yu Yu Hakasho fights + Shaman King spirits + Trigun comedy = Bleach
Hail to the King Baby!!
I formerly watched Yu Yu Hakusho, up until the end of the Dark Tournament.
Yea, that's about where I cut off too.
(BFFC Moderator)
I got got cut off right in the middle of the tournament.

Do you mean that whatever channel you were watching stopped showing it?
I just stopped watching myself.
Even though you're asking True probably.
(BFFC Moderator)
I'm sure True was watching Cartoon Network who stopped showing Yu Yu Hakasho in the beginning of the Finals of the tourny.
Hail to the King Baby!!
The anime I like, is the subtle violence, anything more and I tend to get queezy, but there is one violent bit of anime I like and that is from Kill Bill volume 1, when a paedo gets what he deserves.
There is a Korean anime film I do like and that is Sky Blue.
Studio Ghibli films are the ones I like. Although, Blood the Last Vampire was good.
Well that makes two of you-Sev
No it's not, but at one point during kill Bill, it turns to a violent anime about the childhood of the japanese assasin
Hail to the King Baby!!
I know Kill Bill isn't anime, draco, I've seen it. I meant a certain part in the film.
Well that makes two of you-Sev
