Topic: Star Wars Battlefront II

Do you have Star Wars Battlefront 2? I personally think it is a great game. Unfortunately mine got scratched the second week I got it, and is glitched up... I was going to have it descratched, but I haven't had the time...

My favorite faction is the Imperials, but I like all of them. I really like the fact that you can play Boba Fett, but unfortunately he gets creamed by those Jedi. He doesn't stand a chance... I think my favorite place to fight on is the Death Star. There is a lot of cover, and you can kill many opponets without taking a scratch.

It is hard to kill Jedi with him, but he's a good match against Han Solo.  It's great if you play splitscreen against a friend and sniper each other.

I have had this game since it first came out, but I don't play it much anymore. My brother is a member of Clan DSF and he plays almost everynight online via PS2.

It kinda sucks 'cause Boba Fett, Jango Fett, and Han are all low tier compared to all the other Heros who are Jedi (or equiped with a lightsaber). Boba's flame thrower is practicly useless...

The flamethrower is good to use when you are in a large crowd. It can attack multiple targets at once.

It's still extremeky weak because the enemy is still capable of shooting back even though their skin should be burning off...

It does seem unfair that the good characters are all sucky, and the characters we hate are elite. I never use Han, he's just to horrible. But I do use Boba every chance I get.

Darth Vader is pretty fun too. I love towering over everyone else >=D

Yeah, he's really tall. His fly thing is a little weird though...

I have plenty of tips for bf2. These included killing Jedi, large groups, tanks, turrets etc. I've done the assult mode as Boba without dying, and done it by fighting and not by hiding in a little corner out the way.

some tips would be nice...

When fighting Jedi, run or fly backwards shooting, if they start deflecting bolts then stop shooting. Once they thorugh there lightsaber, laern to avoid it and then shoot as you can get plenty of free shots. Also as u run drop a det pack n then when the jedi getrs there, blow it.

When playings as clones, run head long into the droids shooting. Learn to roll n fire. Also walking at a steady pace, is a useful tactic. Infact very how fast u move.

yea, also with Jedi try to fly as much as u can, learn to shoot while flying because it's harder than u think!

Yeah, shooting while flying is hard. The problem though with flying is that the Jedi can just force jump and slice you to peices... It's a little hard to aim though, (for the Jedi) so that is a small advantage...

Battlefront II is still a awsome game, whether you pick Fett or not!

I have it and I really like it but sometimes it is lets say "overkill" but Iloe it. especially sabatoging ships in splitscreen mode.

a tip i have for space combat is on how to destroy troop transports such the gunship, imperial shuttle droid gunship etc. Is to use a bomber. Troop transports often have a pilot in them who will repair damage quickly, thus missles and blasters arnt that effective. But positon yourself behind and slighty above a transport, in a bomber and let rip with bombs. This will either complty destroy it or really damage it. If it is damaged keep firing your secondary weapon and/or once you have bombs again, then fire somemore. It doesa take a degree of accuracy to hit the transport with bombs, but with a bit of practice it's easy

Sabotoging capital ships is the easiest way to get ahead, i just get a marine, fly in, blow up the stuff in there, go back to my ship, grab a pilot, and dogfight the rest off the time, it's so easy!

another cool little tip is to target the sheild generators on the star destroyers.

when fighting against clones on kamino, destroy the cloning pods to bring down their reforcements

I agree entirely! I can never get enough of it! (Well, until my game got glitched up...)

There are so many glitches in that game it's not even funny... Like in Mos Eisley Assault Mode, there are places in the level were you can get a character stuck, and then you re-spawn and the body will still be there stuck in the wall like they are falling... it's really strange.

The main thing I noticed when I first got the game is that the music messes up a lot... My disc got really sratched though, and it makes it difficult to start a match without the gae entirely freezing...

That sucks, you should really get another one.

Battlefront2 is a great game. I Spend most of my video game time playing that....or Star Wars Legos x3.

Boba Fett might seem hard to use.... But once you get the hang of him its really simple.
If you go to 'Instant Action' then go to Mos Eisley, assult... You can play as all the main peoples. Its great practice.

I think its a pretty sweet game and i LOVE the way you can be Boba Fett......and i think he doesnt do all that bad against the other jedi and stuff.......i especially love his flamethrower.......its one of the coolest games ive ever played.....i have it for x-box.

I always like to play as Boba Fett. I also like to here his voice in the game, he sounds just like Jango.

It woulda been cool if they could have the original voice of Boba Fett though. Like you could press start, go to options, and choose if you want the voice of jeremy bulloch or the voice of Temuera Morrison.

Jeremy Bulloch never voiced Boba, that was Whitgreen.

He didnt? But, Jeremy Bulloch was the actor in the Original Trilogy, right?

Jeremy Bulloch did act him, but they used Whitgreen as a voice over.

Whoa, I don't know how I missed this before, but that's a great idea TW (choosing between Tem and Jason Wingreen).  If only the powers that be would give us the option.  (Or the option of choosing "How special is your special edition?")

That thing is being discussed elsewhere.....i forget the name of the post, but it's about the voice change.....so i don't see what is new...hmmm  help me out?

What was good about Battlefront 2, is that I remember looking thru my games and thinking,
"I just got that Darth Vader figure so I feel like playing as him"
But then I realised none of (my) games have that capability, annoyed I just played Battlefront 1.
But now I have Battlefront 2 I can play whenever I like as all my favourite characters (well almost) from the films. I feel like playing as Boba Fett, Darth Vader, DArth Maul, Han Solo, Chewie etc. and now I can.

Yeah...the New Boba Fett on the game makes the whole thing worth all of the money you spend on it...

Totally, and I have it for PSP......not nearly as good as PS2, but it has Boba Fett in it, and thats good enough for me! Plus, when your playing as a jedi, the controlls are sooo simple! Great Voices too!

Great Voices?

Unfortunately I disagree....
The only proper voice is good olf Temeura Morrison and although thats Great, Han Solo and Luke Skywalker's voices annoy me. Darth Vader's is ok... But I can't stand the "voice-alikes" for those two in particular...

Temura's voice was what I was reffering to.
AWW! But the only voice that I didn't like was Darth Vaders! :mad: It sounds NOTHING like him!
But I thought the other voices were OK.

I  love Battlefront 2.  I bought it a few weeks after it came out.  I still play it (but sometimes I stop to play something else).  If any of you have Xbox Live, join me.  Gamertag:  CountDOODOO.  I've gotten incredibly good with Jango Fett.  There are a few problems with the Fett's though like the fact that they have ammo.  A hero's primary gun (EE-3 or Westars) should be infinite.  Boba's Blasters need to be able to switch between fully automatic and burst.  Jango's blasters have infinite range (you can shoot from across the map, more accurate and stronger than a sniper rifle).  He needs 2 commando pistols with limited range or 1 precision pistol with limited range.

does Vader on practically EVERY Game so I've managed to get used to his slovenly voice acting...

i wound why they just dont get the real people to voice, would the actors charge alot to voice them.
maybe they should make it part of the contract, that if your in this move you have to vioce your likeness in the game.

Lucasarts are Terrible at getting the actor voices I think Hayden Christensenn was very enthusiastic to be in a game. But he wasn't.

EA are one of the best games Distributors for getting actor's voices.

Their only failure as far as I can remember was getting Al Pacino for Michael Corleone but he was really against a Godfather Game...

boba fett is excellent while killing infantry, but in mos eisley assault he's not so good

Nah, I think he's great with the gun against most of the jedi. It's not THAT easy to kill a jedi. The charecter I mostly hate on the game is Chewie. Surely Boba Fett can kill him in a heartbeat, but not in the game.

What? I've done it millions of times, I doubt that it works that way. You have to shoot him like, 12 times! Thats a lot for Boba's gun.
