Howdy folks,

Correllian_Joe92 here looking for some help from my fellow fans of the dented helmet. Out of sheer cussedness, I've decided to write a script for a stop motion fan series set late in the Legends timeline (46-47 ABY to be precise) and I needed to bounce my knowledge off someone else to make sure I've got my facts right going into the thing. Understand, I have read Legends stories extensively - in particular Legends Fett stories - but I admit I do have gaps in my knowledge of the lore and some questions that aren't readily answered on Wookieepedia. If you guys would indulge me by answering some questions (to your best knowledge, but citations are always helpful) that would be great!

(1) Fett recieved a new set of beskar armor from Medrit Vasur, is this armor comparable to the canon 'rearmored' Fett armor in color and layout or is it more like Jango's (including thigh and shin plates, etc)?

(2) What weaponry is Fett carrying at this point? (I may be remembering this totally wrong, but I thought Karen Traviss mentioned in a story once that Fett had reclaimed his father's Westar pistols. But that could be some odd headcanon I came up with in the years since reading her books.)

(3) Did the authors (beyond Traviss) make any efforts to represenr Fett's advancing age (ie heading towards 80) in later Legends lore, beyond his debilitating illness at the start of the Legacy if the Force series?

(3) Natasi Daala had agreed to help Fett in finding a cure for the FG36 variant nanovirus that had been unleashed on Mandalore in 41 ABY. Is there any consistent sources that detail the effectiveness of this disease on the populace? And, also, given Daala's status as a wanted fugitive by the Galactic Alliance and outcast in the Remnant, what resources did she have at her disposal in order to help Fett in this way?

(4) What is Sintas Vel's status, based on her last appearance? I know she had returned to Mandalore in Legacy of the Force: Bloodlines, but had she been extracted once the nanovirus was released?

(5) How plentiful is beskar at this point? I know that a vein was found coinciding with the LOTF era that allowed the Mandalorians to nuild new ships and boost their economy, but is it still considered a limited commodity despite this?

These are my questions for now, thanks in advance to anyone willing to answer them!

1). From the Legacy of the Force books, he received a full "beskar" replacement set of his current armor.  Since this was before the new continuity, every time we saw Fett post-Sarlacc he was in his ROTJ style armor, even on the cover of the Legacy of the Force: Bloodlines book.  So, he would've had that same set-up, including his cod piece and adjoining back "kidney" piece that attaches to it from the back.  The book doesn't mention having extra thigh or shin armor, like Jango.  And since he had those cargo pockets there on his flight suit, they wouldn't have been able to attach anywhere that would be practical.  The books do, however, mention they made him a new "gorget" beskar piece, "so he doesn't end up like his old man."  This actually saves him from the exact same fate, when he startles Jaina Solo and she reflexively turns and swings her lightsaber towards his neck, but the blade is stopped by his new beskar gorget.

2). As far as I recall, from the Legacy of the Force and Fate of the Jedi books, he's still using an EE-3 and his normal suit arsenal.

3). I think there's not a lot of info past the Legacy of the Force and Fate of the Jedi books for that point in his life.  After these books, Disney bought Lucasfilm and relegated everything prior to "Legends" and then we were stuck with the new continuity.  The only other mention of health problems "post-Sarlacc" was in Tales of the Bounty Hunters, The Last One Standing.  It mentions his right leg from the knee down was artificial, due to the Sarlacc dissolving it.

From the book:
"Boba Fett was not the man he had once been. His right leg, from the knee down, was artificial. Only constant medical treatment kept him from developing a cancer; the days he’d spent in the belly of the Sarlacc had altered his metabolism permanently, had damaged him genetically to such a degree that he could not have had children had he wanted them; his cellular structures did not always regenerate the way they were meant to."

The purpose of his current bounty in that story, to capture the Devaronian Malloc, was to get enough credits to pay for a clone replacement for his prosthetic leg and treatments for the cancerous tumors.  Funnily enough, this was before the prequels came out and we were told he was actually a clone.  Nothing is ever again mentioned of his artificial leg, so presumably he got it replaced without further hassle, or future authors just ignored it.

4). Nothing much was fleshed out beyond her offering to help Fett with the virus, since everything past those books was post-Disney.

5). Again, nothing after Legacy of the Force: Revelations elaborated on Sintas Vel's story.  Last we knew, she was on Mandalore, although she would've been immune to the nano virus, since it only affected people with Fett's DNA.  So, basically Fett, his granddaughter, and presumably any Jango Fett clones would only be affected by the virus.

6). The availability of beskar is pretty much what you mentioned at that point.  Most of that was mostly talked about in the Legacy of the Force books.  Anything after that isn't elaborated upon, because of Disney making all future books fall in line with the new canon and everything prior being relegated to Legends.

Unfortunately, when LucasFilm got sold to Disney it pretty much stopped all the old "Legends" stories cold in their tracks.  Legacy of the Force and Fate of the Jedi were the last two big story arcs in old canon.  So, a lot of possible story threads just ended up left undone.  Hope that helps out some.
