In anticipation of the show airing in less than six hours, creating a safe place to discuss the episode.

Spoilers Ahead

Back in April 2020, there was a rumor about the episode titles being leaked. They were wrong about the first episode this season. That said, the second one was "The Confrontation." We'll see if there's a confrontation in this Chapter 10 episode, as maybe the leak were working/temp but still following some plot.

IMDb, which so far has been correct having Temuera Morrison on their Chapter 9 page (although "Boba Fett" was not in the credits – more of a noman "man with no name" for now), has the following scene shown as the episode preview. We've seen this scene in the trailer, so nothing new yet.

Some people are thinking that they’re boating on Mon Cala in the ocean shot but I feel like it’s a new planet maybe.

BroBa Fett, interesting!

Also hearing it may be time for Bo-Katan Kryze...

First up, not the boat picture for the episode image. Interesting choice. #BabyYoda

So, IMDb was incorrect about the featured image. Note that if anyone says they're perfect.

Some nice Fett armor content in the opening scene, plus the trailer shot with the jetpack.

No Bo-Katan. Just some side stories. But mentions of Mandalorians (plural) in the cantina dialogue, so more to come.

"The Passenger" is the name of the episode.

Directed by Peyton Reed.

Bigger role with Dave Filoni acting again.

A slower episode than before, but that's okay because I think this is the "calm before the storm". Episode 3 is where stuff starts going into top gear.

This one reminded me of the assemblers from The Bounty Hunter Wars trilogy.

TitanisEgg, true!

Here's another they may have been inspired by, from the Ship of Fear comic:

Did anyone else find the near constant shifting of focus back to the Fett helmet during that opening fight sequence a little eerie? It felt, to me, like Fett was observing Mando or, at least, the legacy of Fett encapsulated in the armor was.

It seemed like a very deliberate anchor, reminding us that - at least in the liminal sense - Fett was there. That even if he has no further relevance for the show's duration, he casts a long shadow. I'm curious to see if this show provides some springboard for a live action Fett; even without the armor. I feel we could be heading towards a more developed version of Fett, one that may exist without the armor for a while.

CorrellianJoe_92, good ideas!

As for the frequent focal point, maybe just that the helmet was valuable to everyone?

I'm glad that the Empire Strikes Back concept art space-spiders are canonized in live-action. It was a cool episode.
