Who here would like to see a 4K Blu-ray of Rogue One complete with deleted scenes and a much better documentary about the making of the movie? I know that I'd sure love it!! :D I heard that Gareth Edwards did record a commentary track for Rogue One but of course it was not included on the Blu-ray. It's just very frustrating to say the very least!! I also would love it if someone made a book about the making of the movie along the same lines as The Making of Star Wars by J.W. Rinzler.
Topic: Why no 4K Blu-ray of Rogue One yet?

Sorted by oldest to newestGood questions. Since Rogue One had some issued in the editing, including a re-shot ending, maybe they're distancing themselves from a "tell all" book...?

Didn't the 4K Blu-ray release come out April 4, 2017...?
So this thread is more about wishing for more bonus features?

That's not 4K. We are now getting Rogue One on 4K soon but there's not going to be any new special features at all & no deleted scenes. And since the CGI is rendered at 2K I will not be picking this newer release up. I learned that if a movie is not shot on 35MM or above 4K is actually pointless anyway.
It's out now. Movies get upscaled all the time. It's still better than a blow-up just on the TV.
