So after 6 years of scratch building Boba Jetpacks I finally decided, with the help from a CAD genius and friend, to design a 3D printed jetpack that would be durable and light weight for trooping.  We have FINALLY finished it after 9 months (almost faster to make a baby).  Here's the journey.......

It started as an idea because I had scratch built 3 jetpacks for myself and friends over the years and it takes forever to fabricate each individual piece by hand.  I wanted to make the parts faster and more efficient and since I had been 3D printing for over a year at that point I decided it was time to design it from the ground up.

We started with a 50% prototype and worked out as many bugs as we could from there before moving to the full size.

After we felt confident with the size and accuracy we did a small scale mock up. (it's not perfect but it's as close as we could get it without having the real one to measure off of)

After that it was time to move on to a full size!!

We did some cool things such as making the thrusters and the rocket threaded so they can be removed very easily for transport or storage and secure enough when you screw them on that they won't ever fall off. It's in parts that can be painted then assembled, making it easy to paint without having to mask off every piece.  Every day we tweek things to make it more user friendly to build but in kit form, it's just a full size model kit of Fett's iconic jetpack (just add hooks on the back to wear it around!)  Full weight is UNDER 4 pounds so it's something that can be worn for long periods of time unlike my first jetpack that weighed over 15 pounds.

We do sell a limited amount of kits per year if you're interested and you can check us out at Coz3D on facebook or etsy or get with me through facebook.

Kit comes with everything you need to make the iconic jetpack

It might look a big undertaking but it's really easy to assemble and we even made an assembly video on youtube.

After the success of the Boba printed Jetpack on Etsy, we decided to make a Jango arena pack.  The pictured one is in 50% scale but the full size is available on Etsy under the Coz3D store as well as the full size Boba and 50% size Boba desk jetpack.
