just wanting to put a different angle on the matter.

I think we can agree that jango's death is the most gruesome and conclusive of all star wars film deaths.

does anyone think this was done so that there could be no repeat of the boba coming back to life scenario as boba's death was inconclusive and george lucas was quite annoyed by his coming back to life.

"Stand aside I will kill you if I have to" (Bobba Fett to darth vedar in enemy of the empire)
"I should shoot you just for asking about that" (Jango Fett to count dooku for mentioning Galidraan)

He was annoyed about him coming back....i didn't know that...      But i think you might be right there...there certainly isn't any way he is coming back to life there...except if maybe he pulled his head back in his shell like a turtle, and mace cut off only the helmet....he he he  lol...

Definitely, I think you're right about the reason behind the head-chopping.  But even so, a lot of people were saying that Jango had made a clone die in his place.

Hmmmm   never thought of that. Maybe 'cause i'm not a die-hard Jango fan. I think it is balogney though...a clone!   no way...

what if jango got one than one clone and had like ten that he had to use like decoys

some blood lines were ment to end.

That would be a good strategy!! but he'd have to get into clone armor first to be in camoflage.

Why would he make his son go through such torture...in thinking that his dad had just died in front of his eyes...he wouldn't do that.  Even if he did, immediately after the clone wars he would reveal himself to Boba     wouldn't he?

Just what I was about to say.  He wouldn't let Boba think that he was dead for so many years.

I hated the death scene.  The way it was shot made it seem as if Jango landed where he did, and said "Here I am Mace baby. Lop off me noggin'."

Then again, Mandaloran armor is resistant to lightsabers. Weakspots need to be targeted, most notably, the neck area. So, perhaps it was correct for the Mandaloran idiom.

You may be onto something re: the finality.  I think it certainly was strong content for the movies, but they were a darker offering in some ways than Episode IV - VI.  I think the main reason it was done, though, was to show Mace's superior skills in a quick, non-lecturing way.

Remember: we saw Jango mix it up with a variety of campers, most notably Master Obi Wan. They really went to town, and you saw Obi Wan (a skilled master) struggle and ultimately, lose to Jango's superior skills.  So, when Mace comes along and does a quick slice and dice, it's a very potent message that says without too many words:  This guy really is the baddest Jedi Master in Dodge City.

I would use a different word, but SciFi is right. Jango once used two wrist rockets to get rid of two guards who were running away. He sent his child in as a distraction. He hires assassins to do the dirty-work that he was hired to do.

Wow, I didn't know you were that dense. Clones have as much skill as they learn, knowledge isn't hereditary, genius. I'm a member of this site because I'm a fan of Boba, hence Boba Fett Fan Club. Now come on, I knew you weren't intelligent, but this is simple stuff. Jango is without a doubt the most unskilled and hopeless being ever to share his DNA, surpassed by both Boba and the clones.

You think all clones have the same skill? How about the difference between a clone trooper and a Republic Commando? Or the difference between a RC and an ARC trooper? Jesus Christ on a cracker, think before you say something stupid. Or just save time and say nothing at all.

I bet that there are more poeple here that disagree with you greatly. Im not "that" stupid, but Boba learned pretty much FROM Jango, plus he is a clone of Jango.

And I know that different clones have different skill, that is because they were trained to become what they are. Its the same with Boba and Jango. Jango taught Boba the same way Jodo taught him. And different clones have different practices, missions, tests, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Kaminoians were changing thier DNA to make them buff, like the republic commandos. :/

So in conclusion........I'm not as stupid as you thought.

In conclusion, you only prove your stupidity more and more with each passing post. It would really be better if you stopped talking and left with what little dignity you haven't already thrown away.

Boba was how old when Jango died? 8? 10? And assume that Jango was away almost constantly, out on jobs (or paying Zam to do them, coward). That leaves very little time for little 'ol Boba now doesn't it? Jango taught his son squat, and just as well, since his son turned out better for it.

You said before that all clones have the same skill, don't deny it now. I proved you wrong, and suddenly you're switching sides. You're like John Kerry (damn Liberal), bloody fence-hopper. And the Kaminoans probably did change the DNA, proving once more that Jango wasn't good enough for them. And even though I hate the long-necked things, I can't blame them.

Jango. Sucks. Period.

June 5, 2006 6:19 pm #

No,no,no! I ment that  all clones in the same LEAGUE have the same skill. sorry. :/
And if you read the kid stories, you'd know that Boba was taught by Jango from a book that he gave him. Boba went through A LOT and learned a lot from that book.

I agree that Jango's not as good as Boba, but almost as good. And Jango made sure of that. Not being around a lot gives Boba responsibility and it makes his childhood even rougher.

and Jango doesnt suck. ANd Im not stupid.

Kid books? I read a few pages of a Boba Fett kid book I found lying around once. It was horrible, as in I could literally have done better myself. And how 'bout you? You read kid books for fun? Just about your reading level?

It's like watching a huge shrieking train wreck, you can't help but watch. Honestly though, as much I'd love to see this get violent, Sci's posts weren't unintelligent, just mean.

Personally, I think Jango in the comics is more cool and interesting than Jango in the movies, but that happens.

Big dog? Rip me apart? I'd laugh, but I was never one for humor. Firstly, I am quite confident that I could make TW look like one of Picasso's painting, with perhaps the addition of a bit more red (limbs don't rearrange themselves very cleanly). Secondly, He is neither big, nor a dog.

Examine myself? You do the same. You act like a peacekeeper, and in doing so my deep loathing for you continues to grow. I hate peace, I hate assholes, and as such I hate you. You think you can lecture me? Like hell, go back to practicing speeches in front of a mirror, I'm sure it won't be as hostile. Just be careful not to crack it, I hear that reflection can be mighty repulsive.

Impress everyone? Now maybe you try to increase public face with all your half-assed peace-keeping, or your failed attempts to achieve even that, but I could quite honestly care less about what people think. For once, think, and see logic. I love war, I love weaponry, I love killing, and I want my life to focus around all of the above: You think I want to impress people? Fat chance little man, now shut up and go back to acting relatively sensible. IE, not talking. I like you better when you don't remind me that you exist.

You want it to stop? Then you drop it. You should all know by now that I don't back down. Ever. And this is no exception. Mostly wrong? You explain nothing, and now it's you that makes no sense.

Oh, it makes sense alright. MS has tried, horribly and unsuccessfully, to end things more than once, only the next moment to be starting something up again. It all made sense, you just need a moderate degree of intelligence to get it. I'm sorry, that excludes you.

Nothing's over until my enemy backs down. That's how it has worked, does work, and will continue to work. Wars end when one side gives up or dies. I don't give up, and unfortunately (seriously I regret the lack of lethality) none of us can die. I'd be more than happy to settle this gladiator style, but that would be most regrettably impossible.

Teling him he is "mostly wrong" is definately not going to stop it.  The responses aren't rambling, the're true.  It's obvious Jango is more retarded than boba, because he died, and Boba didn't.  End of story.  Boba was technically around for thirty years before Jango, and then the biggest retard of them all, GL, decided, "Hey, lets make Boba a clone a really huge pansy!  Brilliant!"  Very ironic.

Exactly.  Any true Boba fan will tell you that Boba is better.  It even says in the Star Wars Ultimate Visual Dictionary, and I quote, "In the years since Jango's death, Boba has become so notorius that he is more widley known than his father ever was."  It also says on Answers.com that Boba relies more on wit and cunning, while Jango, like an idiot, relied more on brute force.
